What unexpected benefits have users noticed while taking tirzepatide?

Users report major reductions in inflammation, normalized blood pressure without medication, quick resolution of IBS, fewer blood-sugar swings, and sharply reduced interest in alcohol. After three months on tirz I wanted to post an update. The scale shows fifteen pounds less, which feels good, yet the other changes are the ones that really stand out. Every inflammation problem has cleared up. My knuckles are visible again, ankles stay normal by evening, and I wake without stiffness. Blood pressure sits in the normal zone without any pills. Blood-sugar swings no longer cause dizziness. IBS cleared within days. At the usual weekly meet-up I can finish only half a glass of wine instead of the three I once drank. I expect to keep taking it even once I hit my target weight. Has anyone else run into benefits they did not expect?

Nice work on the weight drop!! This medication has also been a game changer for me. I reached goal weight and moved to maintenance. When asked whether I will ever quit, I answer that I would only consider stopping if I wanted the arthritis, elevated blood sugar, and high blood pressure to return. The one worry I have is supply disappearing, which is why I keep a large reserve on hand.

Seems this one will end up being a lifelong requirement for me as well.

Good to see the progress toward your goal! I started tirz hoping it would ease sleep apnea. The CPAP pressure needed has fallen a great deal, and I believe the drop in inflammation explains much of that change. I would stay on the drug permanently if it lets me skip the machine every night. Along with the weight coming off, my urge to drink has also faded.

I noticed many of the same changes. Forty-eight pounds came off in five months. A three-mile dog walk used to leave me in pain by evening; now there is only mild discomfort. One blood-pressure medication was stopped completely and the second was halved. IBS-D also disappeared. On the downside I have been shedding a lot of hair, which seems tied to eating too little because appetite is low. I slowed the rate of loss and raised daily calories from eight or nine hundred to around twelve hundred. At 7.5 mg per week a prickly-skin feeling appeared and has gradually eased even after moving to 10 mg. Red wine tastes flat now, and the same goes for beer and cigars; those shifts may actually be helpful. Several times I have felt close to passing out when standing up quickly.

I understand your point regarding the swelling. Once I had been using the medication for a few months, my knee discomfort improved beyond anything in the past two decades. My wrist issues also vanished without explanation around the four-month mark. Booze intake has basically ceased entirely these days. I somewhat wish for that habit again.
