Does it seem typical to drop just around five pounds on the scale after two months at a steady 4 mg dose each week? My measurements and mirror suggest the body has shifted in shape and fat appears to be coming off, yet the numbers stay almost flat. The group advised waiting since results build slowly, though I expected clearer progress by this point. Appetite signals have vanished completely so portions are much smaller now, and hitting the daily protein target keeps feeling tough. Could eating too little actually slow the scale from moving? Has anyone gone through the same pattern? My experience stands apart from most reports because the expected benefits like quick fullness and quiet cravings show up strongly, but weight barely changes anyway. Meals stay clean overall with only one relaxed choice per week such as a few pieces of thin pizza or a sandwich. Nothing explains the stall and it would help to hear if this happens often.

Maybe so. Which amount did you use first and how did the weekly weight reduction go?

Several elements play into slower results after big drops once the system adapts. Salt can cause fluid buildup that hides real changes on the scale. I examine each possible cause on my own when progress stalls like that five-pound mark across two months. I aimed for a full thousand-calorie cut daily to cover any tracking errors and still hit at least a five-hundred deficit. Normally I step on the scale weekly yet switch to daily checks during flat periods so I can spot the overall direction. I also check whether those five pounds spread evenly or included weeks of no change or even gains that threw off the math. I recalculated my baseline burn from the new lower weight every time another twenty pounds came off. Those steps are the ones I review first.

For a year and a half now I've taken reta beginning at half a milligram before slowly raising it to six. Once I hit my target I switched to two milligrams just to hold steady. My weight dropped from eighty kilos all the way to fifty.

Wow, dropping thirty kilos across a year and a half or longer? Solid effort! It also brightens my outlook a little.

Started noticing quicker progress right after going up from 4mg to 6mg, so I hoped pushing to 8mg would bring back that faster pace. Looking back, my earlier update came across too hopeful. My weekly average drop has stayed on the slower side, and after several weeks at the higher amount it settled again around 1.4 to 1.6 lost each week, which feels acceptable. I wondered about a thyroid problem slowing things down, but tests ruled that out. More likely it's the combination of remote work with little movement and hitting 50. The scale sometimes ticks up temporarily from the Tesa/Ipa and from starting creatine recently, which can throw you off if you need the numbers to keep dropping. I'll stick with the creatine but drop the Tesa once it's gone. There's probably a point about using the lowest amount that still works, yet I'm not focusing on it because the unwanted effects at 8mg stay pretty tolerable. I wake up roughly an hour sooner and notice mild tingling for a day or two after injection day, though that showed up at 6mg as well.

LevelPebble96archiveAug 22
↳ replying to @PlainAlder11

Yeah that seems like a good plan. It fits well with how I've gotten used to just one injection weekly anyway.

I had a comparable situation recently with my dosing around a trip. I moved my usual 4mg shot forward before heading out, figuring there might be stronger effects at first and then less later on. That worked out for wanting to eat more with family, and surprisingly I dropped a couple pounds anyway. Picked back up after getting home. A break like that can sometimes help.

SteadyLantern35archiveAug 23

I began a few months back. I actually dose 3mg every six days, and to go up I add an extra half milligram shot two days after the main one.

SteadyBramble39archiveSep 6

Thanks for the reply. I know 52 lbs a year sounds great but most of my loss has come in bursts, then food noise returns after a few weeks on the same dose. It feels like the GLP clears out of my system fast, which is why I split the shots to keep levels steadier. When suppression is strong my calories sit around 1500 but they climb once the effects fade and I get really hungry days where I can gain pounds back fast. That's when I bump the dose a little just to stay ahead. The weeks I dropped 3 lbs were rare but motivating. I'd be happy averaging 1 lb a week but that's not happening now and hasn't for the last couple months. That's why I'm thinking about adding tirz. Four pounds a month would get me to goal, yet I'm stuck in this 5 lb range and it's frustrating. I keep thinking the muscle I'm gaining is why the scale is flat while my belly fat stays put. I mostly eat protein and skip sugar and sweet drinks. Also limit

Besides that, they contributed to reducing my body weight. It worked in my case. Quality carbohydrates rather than treats like sweets or pastries. After retiring from my job, I managed to drop sixty pounds within approximately eight months and now I feel wonderful.

Yeah I see it the same way. Food focused on starches and carbs traces back through the ages. Numerous traditional groups centered their meals on rice potatoes or corn. The fighters in ancient Rome consumed barley because it supplies good protein.

After chatting with a few members here I began paying closer attention to my meals. What I was already eating wasn't terrible yet there's still room to improve so I've been adding more of the suggested proteins along with carbohydrates. I wanted to share how thankful I am for those comments and oddly enough right after that my seven week plateau ended the very next day. Haha. The exchange really gave me a boost and now I'm feeling inspired again. Thanks.

KeenBeacon82archiveSep 8

I've switched to dividing the full amount across two separate days lately with half early in the week and the rest a few days after. My weight has dropped sixty five pounds going back to December of last year.

Consuming beneficial starches enabled me to rest all the way through the night without any breaks. Before that I kept waking right at three in the morning once I began reta. My current amount is two milligrams each week and I am moving ahead slowly.

PlainThistle11archiveSep 8

Assuming I go with this option to begin, the discussion here proved really useful. I'm set on starting at a minimal level and increasing gradually, staying under those recommended guidelines right from the outset.

Currently maintaining at six milligrams after a couple weeks at four which felt awful. My reductions went from ten down through eight and six to four before returning to six for upkeep. I think eight might work okay as a steady level. Ten was my usual amount before. My spouse has been taking twelve for about fourteen days now.

CopperHarbour89archiveSep 8

I recall you aren't combining this with any other glp1 medication. Currently I'm using 5mg of tirz alongside it without issues. My intention is to gradually decrease the tirz amount while increasing the reta dosage. Could you share what starting amount you and your spouse began with?

PlainAlder11archiveSep 9
↳ replying to @CopperHarbour89

My spouse and I began solely with that compound at two milligrams. The steps moved upward every four weeks minimum though a few stayed longer. We advanced through four then six then eight then ten and currently sit at twelve milligrams for her.

SteadySparrow75archiveSep 9

Dude, I need you to explain how you accomplished that! 😳 👍

RustAlder52archiveSep 10

I'm up to two and a half milligrams now. The hunger control isn't very noticeable these days. Back when I began with half a milligram it really knocked down my desire to eat for about a month. Since then each step up in dose hasn't matched that initial impact. It still does something but the strength is lower. I think I'll try making larger increases next.

LevelLantern93archiveSep 10

It's been ten weeks now since I began. I kicked off with two milligrams and have worked my way to four. I've been raising the dose by half a milligram every couple of weeks. I think I'll stay at this level for a while before considering another increase. When I go on my trip in November, I'll take a full month break from it. After returning, I might lower the amount again. Since starting, my appetite hasn't been strong most days, yet I've kept up with getting one hundred fifty to two hundred grams of protein each day.

PlainAlder11archiveSep 10
↳ replying to @RustAlder52

Looks like the current amount is insufficient since tolerance developed to that dose. How heavy are you these days?

SlowBeacon21archiveSep 10

I started out taking half a milligram two times every seven days across fourteen days then stepped up to three quarters of a milligram on the same schedule for another two weeks followed by one milligram then one and a quarter finally reaching one and a half all while keeping the twice weekly pattern over two week periods each. My energy levels have gone up and I feel really good overall. I checked my blood markers when I began and again recently and saw roughly a quarter better numbers for ApoB along with LDL triglycerides and overall cholesterol and that lines up with what the studies showed.

I began weighing two hundred forty six pounds and reached two hundred seventeen this morning. The hunger control is still around but feels milder than at the very beginning with the smallest amount. Back then it seemed impossible to put food in my mouth even if I tried and I could easily overlook meals altogether. Stepping up gradually hasn't brought that strong effect back. I figure moving faster toward bigger amounts would restore it but I'm not rushing because the weight continues to drop.

KeenCinder62archiveSep 11

Since July my intake has been one milligram on two days each week. I've dropped around eleven kilograms so far. I plan to keep reducing weight over the coming fortnight until I reach eight percent body fat while weighing eighty six kilos. After that I'll cut back to half a milligram twice weekly for a lean mass increase phase. I think I'll stop using it entirely following another couple months and resume once the bulking period ends.

Returning works in a different manner. I had to verify the details myself.

I moved up from 6mg and the 8 and 10 levels did nothing, but 13mg finally hit the right spot. Hoping that dose lasts me a month, then 16 in October and 20 in November before I stop. Switching to Tirz to hold at 7% body fat 😎

IronLedger49archive2d

Embarrassed to admit it but my urge for sugary treats has gotten intense lately. Anyone else dealing with the same issue?

GreyLedger33archive2d

Began halfway through August by taking half a milligram each week. Right away the constant thoughts about eating vanished along with the urge to snack and overall desire for food. Even small servings left me satisfied. My resting pulse climbed about ten beats nightly, my recovery score dropped, and my rest turned as restless as it had been prior to hormone therapy. At nearly fifty-five and past menopause, I feel lucky I began at a cautious level. Jumping straight to two milligrams might have caused real trouble. Having no prior experience with these compounds, my body reacted strongly. Still moved up to one milligram weekly for four weeks until recently because I figured the studied amounts were required to see the main effects. Over the full six weeks I dropped nearly ten pounds, which felt quick given my starting weight around twenty-six and my slight build with most extra padding around the middle. In the past fortnight some of the old urges crept back in the days right before the next shot, so I switched to half a milligram every three days. That raises the total slightly above one milligram a week. I’m hoping the pulse stays steady, the eating thoughts stay quiet, and the pounds keep coming off.

I've never tried it myself though from things I've seen discussed it turns up often.

I'm 54 and past menopause too. Taking 4 mg of tirz each Monday night plus 1 mg of reta every Friday morning. The scale hasn't moved in weeks yet I'll stick with it and probably raise the tirz dose next Monday after five weeks at this amount. No rise in heart rate or other shifts except feeling a little flat lately. Recent stresses in my routine might be behind some low mood I'm sorting through. Still doing small things to keep my spirits up. Watching the numbers drop would cheer me right away though eating a few more calories might help and even feel enjoyable. If weight creeps on instead the worst outcome is just using what I have to drop it again.

Since the year kicked off I've avoided it completely. That large container of great oatmeal ice cream has sat in the freezer untouched for ages. Lately it just doesn't appeal, although I've taken a pair of tiny portions that add up to roughly one scoop.

SlowAlder89archive2d
↳ replying to @IronLedger49

The initial compound handled my eating urges quite effectively, although my sensitivity to it seems unusually high, and desserts weren't appealing to me from the start. The alternative compound appears superior when it comes to reducing hunger levels, which led me to change medications or combine both, and raising the amount of the first one helped too.

NorthWillow97archive2d

Getting started feels weird to me. Using both together lets me control the urges to eat, though raising the levels sooner than planned could be necessary. Only the sugary stuff is the problem.
