peptide and hormone stack ideas for men over 50 on tirzepatide who want to drop the last 10 pounds, gain muscle, and fix constant fatigue

The thread shows several men in their 50s already using tirzepatide, some adding retatrutide or tesamorelin, and experimenting with mitochondrial peptides like SS-31 and MOTS-c plus CJC/Ipamorelin or low-dose HGH. Most stress getting bloodwork first, protecting sleep, and keeping protein high rather than adding many compounds at once. TRT is repeatedly called the highest-impact addition once weight is closer to normal. Several report better endurance and recovery from the mitochondrial pair but note it is not a quick energy fix.

At over 50, I'm currently on 7.5 of Triz. I've been lifting five days a week for the past thirty years. I want to drop another ten-plus pounds, get more energy because I'm tired all the time, and add some muscle. I'm thinking about lowering the Triz and bringing in Reta instead. Any other middle-aged guys have ideas on what else to add to the stack?

SharpCompass12archiveJun 11

I'm 51. I'm on Tirz plus Reta and I really like the combination. I've seen a clear difference and the pounds are coming off steadily. I'd like to reach a six-pack and think this stack can get me there. No food noise at all. I hit the gym at least five days, lifting and walking, and I enjoy watching my wife work out too. I also use Glow, Semax/Selank, and TRT and feel great on this mix. After reading a lot of reports I want to try MotC, SS31, and NAD next. I'll probably pause the Semax/Selank for a month to test the new set. I'm keeping Tesa though, because Tirz with Tesa works really well for me.

How are you dosing everything? Do I just experiment and go by feel? Are you running Tirz, Reta, and Tesa at the same time?

SlowTimber14archiveJun 11

It depends on your overall metabolic health and other factors. If you're feeling sluggish, a round of ss-31 and Mots-c could help, or you could move to Reta from Tirz or simply add 500-1000 mcg of Reta on top of your current Tirz. Without more details on your health numbers, any extra suggestions would just be guessing.

Search for the mitochondrial protocol. I'm planning to run it from time to time. CJC plus IPA is another good option, and so is GHK-CU.

Weight has always been a struggle for me, but otherwise I'm healthy. Tirz brought me down to 183 from 207 at 5'10". The weight is acceptable now but I want more, especially visible abs.

IronLantern52archiveJun 11

What blood work should I be asking for?

I'm two weeks into a protocol I put together from various reports on this forum. I'm 54M.

Nice graph, thanks. How are you feeling on it so far?

AmberMeadow80archiveJun 11

51M here. My take: Reta at 2.5 mg per week dropped me 20 lb in three months and took body fat from 27 % to 18 %. I just went up to 4 mg after a two-week plateau. KLOW blend at 2.5 mg GHK-Cu plus 0.5 mg each of KPV, BPC157, and TB500 daily healed a knee injury after three vials. CJC/Ipa at 250 mcg each twice a day for a month gave great sleep. I focus heavily on sleep for recovery and energy; my routine starts at 10 pm. CJC/Ipa helped me fall asleep fast. I stopped it and began HGH this week because it's supposed to be better for older users. IGF-1 was tested before the change. I'm tempted by SS31 and MOTS-c but tired of so many injections.

Blood work is worth doing. I take 5 mg Tirz once weekly and 2 mg Tesa every night on an empty stomach, so nothing after 8 pm. Tesa seems to improve sleep. I also use 5 mg creatine at night and sleep very well. Tesa is a secretagogue, so read up before starting. Blood tests are useful with it too. I'm not currently on Reta.

BlueTimber78archiveJun 11

I wouldn't switch from Tirz to Reta if you're already doing well and only need another 10 lb. Reta sides probably won't help the fatigue. You probably don't need many extra peptides either, though it's enjoyable to try. HGH and Test will give the biggest return, especially with bloodwork. You can likely get TRT prescribed now. Healing peptides like BPC-157, TB4, KPV, and GHK-Cu are also worth considering. Cognitive ones like Epitalon, Semax, Pinealon are interesting too, but most extras end up like random supplements. TRT, HGH, and your current GLP-1 are the main tools, so get those right first.

I was tested about three years ago and had moderate to severe apnea. They put me on wegovy and I lost weight, but insurance stopped covering it and most of the weight returned. I started compound Tirz five months ago and the weight has come down nicely. I figure the extra weight was causing most of the apnea.

It could be weight-related or it might not be. Either way, use the mask if you have one. Apnea will affect everything. Full compliance is the only approach until your doctor clears you or daily monitoring shows under five AHI.

IronLantern52archiveJun 11

I was never given the mask. I didn't really talk with my doctor about it. The sleep test three years ago was mainly to check insurance coverage for wegovy.

I'm older than you, so I'll call myself an expert on older-guy issues. I'm on a low 1.5 mg Tirz dose. In about ten days, once I finish SS-31, I'll add MOTS-c and Ipamorelin. Tirz alone probably won't handle the last ten pounds of stubborn fat. Beyond that, diet and exercise are what matter most and you already have that covered. I'm also thinking about low-dose Enclomiphene or some form of TRT again because it worked before. Exogenous TRT gives better body-composition results than anything else legal.

AmberMeadow80archiveJun 11

I was just breaking the blend down into the individual milligrams per dose, nothing extra.

NorthWillow72archiveJun 11

I'm around 60. TRT helped a lot but I got bloodwork and studied it first. Estradiol can be an issue if BMI is still high, so I waited until I reached normal BMI. The NAD-MOTS-SS31 combination plus supplements seemed useful. Much of the fatigue can come from low calories, so increasing protein helps energy. Focus on mitochondrial support, supplements, and diet until BMI improves, though many start TRT or secretagogues earlier. These can raise scale weight slightly while improving composition. First step is bloodwork. My energy supplement cycle, after reviewing suggestions, landed on SS-31 at 5 mg for five days, building NAD first and using TMG with NAD or NAC. SS-31 should make MOTS-c work better. Read Dr. Seeds and similar sources.

I'm 60, 5'11", now around 160 from 250, sitting at 12-13 % body fat with no weight issues for over five years. I feel like I'm 40. Abs are enjoyable even with some loose skin; filling it with muscle is the fun part. Mots and SS31 should support metabolic health and give a steady energy lift, more like improved endurance for daily walks than a stimulant. We notice it makes us more willing to keep moving. Diet has to stay dialed in or the peptides won't help much. It's like taking a car to a mechanic but still using bad fuel. Once everything is tuned, better fuel and upkeep matter. I used to take a lot of ibuprofen and now take none. Peptides, diet, activity, and mindset all add up.

IronLantern52archiveJun 12
↳ replying to @SlowTimber14

Great progress! 12-13 % body fat is impressive. That's the kind of steady energy I'm after.

How has the protocol been working for you? My boyfriend is 56 and looking at the same peptides.

I'm pretty busy with this stuff.
