I've noticed more and more accounts of people developing allergic reactions to compounds over time. That led me to wonder if keeping an epi pen around would be sensible going forward. They seem fairly expensive from what I hear. If anyone here has one, was getting it costly or difficult? Does the reassurance make it worthwhile?

Is it worth keeping something nearby that could save your life? Only you can decide that. I have one and the total for the prescription plus the pen feels reasonable to me given the other purchases I've made.

I tend to keep one in my home at all times. The insurance company covers the cost provided that I report having an allergy to bee stings.

Bee reactions require me to have this available. Starting a different pep leaves me delighted that it's there.
