NA Semax SubQ Experience

7 replies5 peopleAug 7, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

How does subcutaneous NA Semax compare to intranasal for effects on sleep and focus?

SubQ NA Semax at 0.5 mg disrupted sleep for some even with morning dosing, contrary to expectations of milder effects than nasal. Others report nasal hits faster and stronger while subQ is slower and milder, with effects lasting 4-5 hours or less. Regular Semax required higher doses subQ to notice anything short-lived, and several users found it underwhelming overall compared to Selank.

I tried NA Semax at 0.5 mg under the skin and it wrecked my sleep pattern. Expected the impact to be milder than the nasal method I normally use. Is this typical?

SharpTimber34archiveAug 7

That lines up with normal experience. Semax is usually taken in the morning or before something demanding while Selank comes later. Most people I know stick with nasal but the gap isn't large.

For me the gap between nasal and subQ feels huge. Probably because it's the NA version of Semax.

I always take it in the morning when I use it. NA lasts 4-5 hours for me so I stop by noon. Route shouldn't matter much overall. Nasal just works quicker and hits harder while subQ comes on slower and feels milder.

Wouldn't dose this one late in the day. Tried NA once as a pre-workout around 3pm and stayed awake all night even though the session itself was great. Always stick to early morning around 6:30 and use subQ.

Started with regular Semax subQ at 0.5 mg in the mornings and had to work up to 1.5 mg daily before noticing any effect, which only lasted about an hour at most.

Same here unfortunately. Still have seven vials left and not sure I'll even finish them.

Normally I dose once in the morning and once in the evening with nasal. Switched to just morning with subQ and stayed sharply focused right through dinner with trouble falling asleep. The day was busy too. Planning to drop down to 200 or 300 mcg next time and test that.
