What an expensive habit this has become..

Summary

how much are people really spending on peptide supplies and accessories versus what they save elsewhere

Participants describe buying label printers, storage cases, freezers, and related items yet conclude the overall outlay is offset by sharply lower spending on food, alcohol, and restaurant meals. Several note they now buy higher-quality groceries in smaller quantities and feel the net result is still positive after more than a year. A few continue to add to their stock without calculating the total.

Sigh.. anyone else? Labels, 3D printing.. who knew?!

WarmMeadow92archiveJun 13

I agree it's really enjoyable. The cash I've kept by skipping the official version from the maker or the mixed alternative lets me splurge on accessories without worry. I never got a printer for making things myself and don't plan to either. When I need items like that I order them from an online shop. Your case for keeping things organized looks great.

RustMarble10archiveJun 13

Absolutely agree with that. Buying through unofficial channels really cuts down on expenses. A few years back we got a three dimensional printer as a gift for our youngest boy. My spouse took a liking to it too. That's why he acquired one for personal use. I don't create items myself. Instead I discover desired objects and let my sons produce them haha. I browse marketplaces to get creative ideas. Those tags bring enjoyment. Lately acquired a compact device for printing them which is low cost and nice enough for my purposes. Appreciate you fueling my buying tendencies πŸ˜‚

AmberCinder46archiveJun 13

Right now a three dimensional printer is not part of my tools. Temporarily though I have things set up much like a station for nurses which comes with one more freezer along with equipment to print labels.

PlainAlder11archiveJun 13

Calculating the total makes me nervous, although I really don't mind. After all, I've poured a lot of money into needles and other supplies.

SharpCinder28archiveJun 13

Spend a few hundred on other peptides or a case of sterile water, then go to a discount store and pick up some alcohol pads. Guilt is gone lol.

NorthWillow72archiveJun 13

Subtracting what I spend on delivery orders eating out and snacks from the cost of these compounds leaves a positive balance. It feels like I'm coming out ahead overall. This interest still runs pretty expensive though and I've grabbed some enjoyable extras too. After close to two years cutting back on big eating expenses I'm satisfied.

I have to say this feels more fun than grabbing a nice bottle of wine no matter how pricey it gets. It's refreshing to switch things up with substances that actually boost well-being rather than harm it.

That amused me quite a bit. Nevertheless I think you have it right.

This buy of small containers holding white powder has left me happier than anything else before.. haha

Your enclosure really stands out to me. Would you mind describing what went into building it?

Assuming my take on the description holds up this item came from some kind of layer stacking machine.

I feel the same about that point. Reflecting on the amounts I've put into these compounds and extras, it evens out against cuts in other areas. Since my partner and I both started this treatment, neither of us finishes big steak portions the way we once did. We split a single one now with a good vegetable and call it our evening meal. At restaurants we often pick a starter to share or order a main that leaves enough for the following night. Things like snacks and processed treats hold no interest anymore, so those purchases have stopped. The drop in grocery bills alone makes up for what we have on hand.

Not really sure about it all. Every so often I like sipping on a good glass of wine, including ones from France 😝. Feels like supplies and wines can go together just fine for me too.

I went from easily spending a few hundred a week on food and alcohol. I now spend about a third of that a week. That’s if I’m splurging

Thinking about the sum total of my food delivery orders from the previous year makes me want to hide in embarrassment πŸ˜‚

Once I began this treatment in the fall months, wine stopped agreeing with me entirely. Only a small serving of that red variety has passed my lips since January arrived, and I feel zero longing for it.

AmberCinder18archiveJun 13

However, the money I'm saving on meals is going towards new clothes instead. Right now I'm getting those secondhand because my weight is still dropping. Plus, even with fewer groceries, I'm choosing higher-grade items now, which adds up. Processed snacks and fast food don't appeal to me these daysβ€”I'd rather have good protein sources along with fresh produce and nuts. But those options cost more too.

NorthSparrow19archiveJun 13

After getting the blended version at quite a cost for just three months worth, I came across the gray option days later. The difference really stands out lol. I focused on the money I kept rather than what went out lol. Ended up grabbing enough to last three years that cost under what those first three months did.

CopperMarble87archiveJun 13

Sometimes I end up ordering the equipment a thousand units together.

LevelAlder29archiveJun 13

Wow, I'm prone to pricey fixations already, and this situation isn't helping. Whenever I spot a bargain on something new and appealing, I end up purchasing it. Things like research compounds, equipment for experiments, analysis kits, preservation methods, and identification tags. Despite my recent purchases, I'm still coming out ahead in two ways: cutting back hugely on meals and drinks, and spending less than I would on prepared versions. What used to cover just a short time now stretches to twelve months of various products. I plan to halt acquisitions after stocking up to the highest level for half a decade. I really will quit, honest! Do you trust that?

I used to own a thousand of the larger one-milliliter size along with a thousand of the tiny zero-point-zero-five-milliliter size. Will that clear me?

PlainAlder11archiveJun 13

Only five years? My own stock reaches thirteen and a half up to fourteen years total. Every portion is the same item.

Plus there's the cash I skip spending on those roadside wieners. Lol just playing, but it's me who quit the oily rockets now.

PlainQuill53archiveJun 14

It is enjoyable to gather everything required for storage. Yet looking at the overall cost, the large amount of product i acquired matched the expense of just one month from the official source. As a result i will put out a small sum for some amusing accessories including tools for labeling, decorative tags, cold storage items and writing tools.

My partner made this on his 3D printer. I constantly hand over fresh patterns for him to build and it cracks me up every time like the one shown here 🀣

I hear you!! My first kit was a few hundred. I thought I found a wicked deal, considering I was paying several hundred each month for another medication.
