Summary

how much weight loss is realistic on reta during major life stress

One user reports 18 lb lost over 5 weeks at 2 mg despite multiple family crises and emotional eating triggers. The loss started with a large first-week drop that was mostly water, then settled closer to the calculated 3.2 lb weekly deficit from diet plus daily cycling. Others note the pace is fast but the user feels the calorie intake remains sustainable without food aversion or willpower battles.

Been on this for five weeks now at 2 mg and down 18 pounds. That stands out because my grandfather passed away, other family problems piled up, and my fiancé's dad was diagnosed with cancer. Normally I'd be eating and drinking heavily to deal with the feelings.

I'm really happy with everything you've managed to pull off bro. Really hoping your mind and body both get looked after properly too 🙏🏽

I'm pushing through this whole thing while cracking up at myself just to keep it together mainly thinking about her.

I'm dropping around three point six pounds each week, which feels somewhat quick to me. That opening stretch was probably just fluid.

I think the initial seven-pound loss during the opening seven days was mostly fluid rather than actual fat tissue. Things have stabilized since then. Nothing indicates that shedding pounds at a rapid yet sensible pace causes problems. Based on my energy expenditure estimate, the daily intake reduction aims for roughly three point two pounds weekly, and that ignores the ten miles on the bike each day from the beginning.

That's really impressive!! It might only be water retention dropping off in the beginning, but you're making the effort and sustaining your momentum.

My first big weight loss led into slower phases that didn't line up with the deficit I expected, but that was clearly just the body settling. Consuming seventeen hundred calories a day feels manageable since hunger isn't constant and no foods are off limits, I get satisfied quicker now and resist temptations easily like going past the sweets dish at work without draining all my self control to skip it.

Apologies for these tough situations, yet pleased reta is helping you out. I also eat emotionally, so maybe share how reta affects your urges?
