I have hernia repair surgery coming up that will use mesh for reinforcement. The bro science recommendation is the Wolverine Stack, and that was my plan. Out of curiosity I asked several AIs the same question. One supported the stack for faster recovery. Another disagreed without much explanation. A third gave an unclear response. When I showed all of them to Claude it gave the clearest take. It began by saying nobody really knows, which is accurate. It pointed out that muscle attaches to the mesh via irregular scar tissue and worried that quicker healing from the peptides could produce smoother tissue that fails to anchor the mesh firmly enough, possibly causing movement, discomfort, or another operation. Claude still stressed there is zero research either way. Mesh has been standard for a long time and natural scar formation is thoroughly understood.

Some of these compounds rest on decent research while others are still waiting for solid human data. Even when trials exist they are rarely large enough to show side effects clearly. Rodent results often do not translate and are not enough on their own. Even if the stack had good human evidence it probably would not cover mesh healing specifically; studies would more likely target back pain, ligament tears, or muscle strain from overuse. A trial for this exact situation seems unlikely because it is too narrow and does not match the usual claims made for these peptides.

I have not seen studies focused on mesh healing, but Claude is right that human data on the individual peptides is missing or very thin and there are no studies at all on them together, not even animal work. ChatGPT in research mode handled the literature search reasonably well. My main worry with these stacks is that if they really do boost connective tissue and speed repair, nothing would prevent the same process from happening where it is not wanted, such as in the heart or liver, which could lead to organ problems later. So if they work they might be risky, and if they do not then they are just a placebo.

Going through that kind of pressure can really take a toll... although I figure once a person hits about seventy, trying those things may bring more benefit than damage.

Back in January I went through surgery for hernias on both sides that involved mesh. I skipped any remedies afterward because I saw no reason for them. I had also considered trying that combination but found it unnecessary.
