Is lack of side effects typical?

Summary

Why am I feeling no side effects on retatrutide after switching from tirzepatide and ramping the dose quickly?

Individual responses vary widely. Some users report zero noticeable effects even at 8-16 mg weekly, whether due to prior tirzepatide use, slow titration, or personal tolerance. Retatrutide tends to act more subtly through metabolic changes than strong appetite suppression. Weight loss can still occur without the usual GI or skin issues.

Hello. I started the rt10 kit at 4 mg each week. Having used tirz for a couple months already, I expected I could manage any reactions at that level. Reports mention skin sensitivity plus the usual stomach issues, yet after four weeks nothing has appeared, which feels odd. I chose to wait rather than assume anything was off. Being so focused now makes it hard to tell if anything is happening at all. Many threads describe strong appetite loss even starting at 0.5 mg or 2 mg. Input from longer-term reta users would help. Also, if the source is from this forum, can the name be mentioned here? Still new so I want to avoid issues. This week I moved up to 8 mg. The schedule follows a trial protocol but skips the 2 mg month.

No real sensations appeared until reaching 16 mg weekly split into two doses. Only minor lower GI symptoms and a mild off feeling near peak. Resting heart rate rose earlier but is no longer noticeable.

Responses differ between people. Prior tirz use may already create some tolerance. Jumping straight from 4 mg to 8 mg is a large step at once. It generally takes about four weeks for levels to stabilize in the system.

First attempt produced sleepless nights, elevated heart rate, and acid reflux. After stopping for several months and restarting with much slower increases, no negatives appeared this round.

Everyone reacts differently. I also moved up toward the higher end fairly fast and still notice nothing negative. I keep wondering when effects might start. Actually my digestion feels better than it has in a long time. The grey version may require a higher amount and seems less potent than the branded version, though that is just my view. Results matter more, and it is working.

Currently at around 10 mg with nothing negative showing up. If testing showed the product is normal then there is no reason for concern.

PlainAlder11archiveApr 22

That increase happened very quickly. Following the slower steps mentioned in the Lilly studies would be safer, but the choice is yours.

Switched from tirz to reta as well. Skin sensitivity showed up only at 8 mg during the second week. Appetite reduction was weaker than on tirz, which seems common. Reta appears to work more through raising metabolism and has lower activity at the GLP-1 receptor, which may explain the difference.

Reta tends to be less obvious than other GLP-1 medications. The main sign may simply be the scale moving downward.

16 mg weekly? Can you share how the results have been? I am still unsure because the scale is not moving much, though it shows more muscle and less fat.

WryCinder57archiveApr 22

How exactly was the 16 mg split across the week? Did you lose much muscle? I usually feel wiped out after injecting. Have you kept diet and lifting consistent?

From late January to late March a Dexa scan showed roughly 19 lb lost with only half a pound of lean mass gone. Weight training has been limited. This was a recent dinner.

Good progress. Still, running your own experiment carries risks, so stay careful.

That comment hits the spot between unclear and worrying.

Moved from 1 mg to 3 mg over three weeks and felt nothing. Digestion is actually improved compared with before.

Began the same way. At 4, 8, and 10 mg there were still no effects, so I added 1.5 mg sema or 5 mg tirz to create stronger appetite control.
