Just pinned 4mg

Summary

how quickly can someone increase retatrutide dosing and what weight loss results are typical early on

One user started at 2 mg for a week then 2.5 mg for three weeks before trying 4 mg and reported only five pounds lost with no sides yet. Others advised staying on each dose for four weeks to avoid sides that may appear later and noted some people tolerate up to 12 mg without issues. The dosing schedule was viewed as reasonable and aligned with study protocols, though slower loss is expected when not starting from obesity.

This marks my fifth injection of the medication. I began with 2 mg for one week then moved to 2.5 mg for three weeks and have now tried 4 mg. Still no negative reactions so far so time will tell. Only five pounds gone up to this point so maybe the larger amount will get fat loss moving.

Each dose level should be held for four weeks. Rushing the increases is not wise. Reactions could still show up even though you just took this amount. Some people including my wife and myself feel nothing all the way to 12 mg. She recently added 2.5 mg of another medication and now has mild nausea.

Avoid pushing the dose higher too quickly. We have already seen the results of doing that.

Nothing like a sudden digestive blowout to make the warning stick, from what I hear.

That schedule looks sensible and matches the phase 3 study pattern of 2 mg for four weeks followed by 4 mg for four weeks. Since you are not starting from obesity the pounds will come off more slowly. You had mentioned a goal of a couple of stones which is nearly thirty pounds so the first twelve weeks still offer good potential even in the shorter term.
