How do doctors react to noticeable weight loss from GLP-1 use during a routine visit?

The original poster shared a positive checkup where the nurse and doctor both reacted strongly to the scale reading, confirming normalized blood pressure. The doctor, aware of self-acquired GLP-1 use, encouraged enjoying an upcoming cruise without strict calorie tracking. Other users responded with brief congratulations.

I went in for a regular checkup and blood work. They weighed me first, and when the nurse pulled up my chart she said the system flagged the number and wanted her to confirm it. My doctor was impressed too and told me the weight loss had brought my blood pressure back to normal. He knows I'm on a self-acquired GLP1 and is fine with it. We chatted about my cruise and he said just enjoy it without stressing over calories. I joked that buffets make it tough to weigh anything, but I'll still pay attention to portions. It was easily one of my better doctor visits.

It's awesome to feel that kind of positivity while visiting a physician. Way to go! Happy to learn your doctor turns out so understanding.
