I agree. The resistance I get seems to come from people thinking these medications are an effortless fix and that users will not bother with movement or other changes.
My biggest GLP-1 ethical problem: patients who don’t want to stop
People really underestimate the mental work needed to keep large losses. Your post brings to mind something a fitness-focused person said on a live stream a few months ago. His viewers were trying to get him to criticize medication users and he said he did not care and good for them. He added that people can force themselves through sheer willpower to lose but then they cannot live the rest of their lives normally. Using the medication lets people live while fixing their bodies. It stayed with me because it was accurate and came from someone I did not expect to see it that way.
Right there with you. Same for me. Not one late-night chocolate episode.
Exactly. I read it the same way. It comes across as genuinely concerned for the patients.
