Oxytocin remains untried by me so far, though I plan on getting to it eventually. My thoughts are with you amid these rough times, and I'm hoping a useful option turns up for you before long.
The heading captures everything. I've come across several hopeful accounts online, though one raised some concerns, yet most report either unpleasant outcomes or no changes whatsoever. There exist additional threads on the topic. It's known to be delicate and tricky to prepare again. To share more than perhaps necessary, and possibly seeming overly sensitive, certain past events lead me to believe that extra oxytocin might help my situation. My relationship with my mom wasn't strong during childhood and she couldn't nurse me. My father and I shared a tight bond until his mental episode following the separation when I turned thirteen. I stayed with him and avoided my mom completely for six years, experiencing profound isolation for an extended period which led to severe substance use from age sixteen until recently. I process endings of relationships similarly to how others deal with loss. Recurring visions and intense recollections persist long after, along with emotional outbursts during rest. Whenever possible to spend time with trusted companions, which happens infrequently, I seek much physical closeness – and truly, the taboo around men sharing a bed platonically bothers me. I also show numerous traits associated with autism. I'm uncertain whether these were always present or if my particular life circumstances and unusual childhood created a similar effect. There's a contrast because I can be sociable at times yet find maintaining eye contact challenging at others. All this means I'm somewhat unusual, and substances affect me unlike my friends. For example, certain anxiety medications bring me joy and hook me strongly, whereas painkillers have no appeal. I relied on a herbal supplement for several years due to this, stopping abruptly once I felt it wasn't beneficial anymore. Separately, for anyone still here, some other compounds were suggested and catch my attention too. I get that one of them functions contrary to stimulants, and those stimulants leave me nervous with disrupted rest even long after intake. Apologies for the poor and strange message. I didn't start with these compounds as a content, well person.
