Too much bac water?

15 replies6 peopleSep 13, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Can daily injection of around 3 ml bacteriostatic water from multiple peptide shots cause problems?

The thread examines whether frequent subq peptide injections totaling 3 ml of bac water each day might be excessive. Safety data referenced applies to single large IV doses rather than repeated subq use, and participants note that volumes per shot are typically kept under 1 ml to limit irritation. Several users find 3 ml daily plausible with many separate peptides but prefer lower volumes overall, while others suspect a calculation issue.

People taking lots of peptides every day, some of them two or three times daily, might end up with quite a bit of bac water. Is that something to worry about? Could it cause issues in theory? Nothing I've read suggests harm, but I wanted to check with the more experienced folks. My own total works out to about three milliliters each day.

Haven't seen this question before, so curious what replies come in. Wondering what leads to such high usage in the first place. Some of my own shots are point two five ml, others point five ml, mostly in that range. Even if harmless, that still feels like a lot. Are you doing six or more pins a day?

As one of the older hands here, I'd also like to know how much BA counts as too much.

Adverse reactions to IV, IM or subq injection of zero point nine percent benzyl alcohol are not known to occur in man, though animal studies of small volume parenterals with that concentration suggest an estimated IV dose up to thirty ml may be safely given to an adult without toxic effects. Nine ml to a six kg infant or neonate could potentially produce blood pressure changes.

Nice work on that reply, you can take the credit for it.

Three ml a day, what exactly are you taking?

Either some nonsense or a simple math mistake seems the easiest explanation.

The info I quoted was for a single IV dose, not even subq. With subq the real concerns are injection site reactions and absorption. Hitting thirty ml subq would turn someone into a pin cushion.

Even the one ml subq shots I used to do would often leave a bump and feel troublesome. I like to keep volumes lower, around point four zero ml works best for me, and point two five ml is fine too if the concentration isn't too high.

For a single manual bolus, one ml can be troublesome and enough to cause site reactions in some people. For me it's not the tissue itself, but watching that much volume disappear makes me queasy. Never actually had a reaction at that volume though. Injected eighty five units in one shot today and felt nothing. One compounder reconstitutes at ten mg per ml, so fifteen mg would mean pinning one hundred fifty units. First order came with three ml syringes and one point five inch needles, which looked wrong so I set them aside but kept them for later use. Three ml as one bolus would be extreme, but spreading three ml across several shots in a day is easy to picture and really not that many units.

A day versus daily makes a difference. I have a prescribed weekly two ml subq shot and it's no issue. No way I'd go through that much bacteriostatic water every year for any peptides I know.

My current lineup features kpv aod cartalax tb bpc ghk ara. Extra ones come along afterward.

Missed that the original post meant three ml every single day. Nothing I'd do myself, barely hit one point five ml in a week. Still, if the protocol is seven or eight daily peptides at point four ml each then three ml adds up. Some people are probably pinning that much daily.

LevelThistle44archiveSep 14

Two thirds of that would fit in one pin of the combined mix.

Don't like the idea of mixing those peptides together because after a while the copper might interfere with the others.
