5-Amino-1MQ Breaking Energy Barriers

27 replies12 peopleApr 10, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Does 5-Amino-1MQ provide noticeable energy and fat-loss support during aggressive calorie cuts on tirzepatide or retatrutide?

Users report that 5-Amino-1MQ gives a steady energy lift without stimulant effects, helping them push through the low-energy wall that appears below 1000 calories. Several combine it with NAD+ or caffeine and see faster fat loss; others find MOTS-c ineffective or side-effect heavy and prefer cycling 5-Amino-1MQ instead. Dosing commonly ranges from 1-5 mg once or twice daily via subQ, with orange lyophilized material and 20-day cycles mentioned.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

Opinions split sharply on MOTS-c: several users call it useless or side-effect laden while others describe it as their favorite energy compound.

Whether 5-Amino-1MQ preserves muscle long-term or works equally well for people who are not severely overweight remains open.

Nothing here is advice.

I wanted to mention this because I have not seen anyone else describe using 5-amino-imq for this purpose. I rarely feel hungry on reta or tirz, yet I often run low on energy once I drop below 1000 calories. When that happens I pin 1-2 mg, spacing the doses at least four hours apart, and it feels as though my body decides to release more stored fat. The effect is not like a stimulant; it simply lets me keep going without the usual afternoon crash. Anyone who has dieted hard for months knows the wall I am talking about. For me this compound temporarily removes that wall and makes the cut more tolerable.

I also like 5A1MQ and saw clear changes once I started using higher amounts.

I take 7 mg of 5-Amino every morning on an empty stomach and really enjoy it. It pairs well with caffeine and I add MOTS-c every other day for an extra boost. The combination is currently my favorite and it reduces the fatigue I usually feel on the day I inject Tirz.

I have been using NAD+ five days a week and added 5amino last week. The difference in both weight loss speed and daily energy was immediate and impressive. I plan to run a twenty-day cycle and am now a strong supporter. Before this I tried Lipo-c with B-12 for several weeks and noticed nothing except painful injections, so switching to 5amino has been a pleasant change.

I received some today. Are the pucks supposed to be orange?

NorthLantern91archiveApr 10

Yes, the material is normally orange. Here are the reconstitution and dosing steps I follow for both 10 mg and 50 mg vials, including tolerance phases and twice-daily options.

I was thinking of alternating one month of MOTS-c with one month of 5-amino-imq to follow cycling advice and help protect muscle. MOTS-c never worked for me; even low doses left me lethargic and higher doses made it worse. After those attempts I switched to a month of cardarine followed by a month of 5-amino-imq instead.

I looked around for dosing information and did not find anything as clear as what you posted, so thanks. One place suggested only 250 mcg daily while others were using much larger amounts multiple times a day. The charts are helpful.

NorthLantern91archiveApr 11

This is the reference I usually check when planning my cycles.

AmberAnchor83archiveApr 11

Hey man, what an awesome find this turned out to be.

BrightBeacon35archiveApr 11

I really wanted MOTS-c to work. I tried 10 mg at once and felt nothing. It is the only peptide so far that gave me zero noticeable effect. I envy the people who respond well to it.

My opinion matches yours exactly when it comes to Lipo-C as well.

So apparently this shows we're already in the best shape possible for a male.

SteadyMarble92archiveApr 11

5-Amino has been great for both my wife and me as a daily energy aid. We usually take it in the morning as part of our pre-workout stack and again later if we train in the afternoon or evening.

Right there with you! MOTS-c also leaves large welts under the skin for days no matter how I inject it.

Yeah, my results matched exactly after trying Lipo-C plus B-12.

Is 5 mg the highest subQ dose, and is it meant to be used every day? I have ten 5 mg vials on the way and they will not last long at that rate.

NorthLantern91archiveApr 12

I usually see 10 mg or 50 mg vials. Five milligrams is the daily amount I use, split into 2.5 mg morning and 2.5 mg evening. The smaller vials require more supplies for a full cycle, so I prefer the 50 mg size and freeze the extra.

What else is in your stack? Are you also using Reta or Tirz? Thanks for the protocols; do you have similar guides for your other compounds?

SteadyMeadow22archiveApr 12

You are right, the 5 mg vials will only last me ten days. Do you think it is worth buying the 50 mg size instead? Are the results noticeable enough?

NorthLantern91archiveApr 12

I am on week twelve of Tirz at 3 mg. I also use NAD+ and ran BPC-157 for eight weeks to help an injury. This is the main dosing reference I check, though I look at a few places because details can change.

Since you already have the smaller vials you might as well use them. You will just need to reconstitute with 1 or 1.5 ml to keep volumes reasonable. For future orders, the larger vials are more convenient.

I would test the kit you have and decide for yourself whether it is worth continuing. I kept my own use vague in the first post because I would not suggest copying it exactly, but during several fasted days I pinned 1-2 mg whenever energy dropped and felt my body respond by pushing past the fatigue. That week I dropped 11 lb, which is not sustainable, yet reta alone at 6 mg per week had stopped working for me. It turned out to be a useful tool given how much fat I still have to lose. Since MOTS-c gave me nothing, I am glad I only bought one kit. Try yours and see how your body reacts.

WarmLantern83archiveApr 12

I have felt the same energy lift from 5-amino during low-energy periods. Taking it fasted seems to produce the strongest effect. It feels like an under-appreciated option that should get more attention.

Thanks for the explanation. I had only heard the name before, so now I have some context when I look into it further.

GreenAnchor36archiveApr 12

I am running a month-long cycle at 1 mg per day to see how it feels. I got a noticeable itchy injection-site reaction plus what felt like a mild allergic response. Pairing it with 500 mcg KPV reduced the reactions, but I probably will not continue after this vial. Energy may have improved slightly; I will compare weight and fat loss numbers after two more weeks of tracking.

There is a video that shows exactly how to combine multiple small vials into one using only 2-3 ml of bacteriostatic water.
