Anyone tried colored ribbons?

Summary

Do colored ribbons make labels look more premium on label printers?

One user bought black labels with gold ribbon and reports the color combo looks great, with white ribbon also on order for the same labels. Another has purple ribbon set aside for when a black one wears out. The original poster is using an M2 printer and wants to know if gold or other colors improve the style.

How the gold ribbon actually turns out on printed labels

Nothing here is advice.

Right now I've got just the black version, though I'm considering picking up a different shade. Do those labels come across as higher quality or more fashionable if you use the colored tapes for printing? The gold shade has me wondering the most since it seems appealing. Anyone experimented with that? I'd be interested in checking out the finished labels.

So far I've just gone with the basic stickers and skipped the ribbon options entirely. Which device are you running to handle those ribbons? I'd like to see what kind of results they give.

Got myself some dark tags with gold edging. They look pretty nice. Haven't created anything too elaborate yet, though the hues pair up well. Also expecting some white trim soon to match with the dark tags.

There's purple ribbon around here that got picked up without much forethought and still sits untouched. Once a black one reaches the end of its usefulness I'll give this a go.

Can't wait to see what everyone thinks about it.
