Has Anyone Combined (oral) Orforglipron with Their Weekly GLP-1 (injection)? Boom!

5 replies4 peopleJul 18, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

What happens when people add oral orforglipron on top of their usual weekly injectable GLP-1?

One user reports noticeably stronger appetite control and a calmer feeling that carried over to the next day when adding the oral compound during a holiday period. They theorize the small-molecule drug may engage different receptor sites than the peptide injection. Another participant links the effect to stronger cAMP signaling with less desensitization, drawing a parallel to MK-677 at the GHSR. Limited prior reports exist and questions remain about dosing and whether the product is genuine.

Whether the observed effect comes from higher total GLP-1 activity, separate receptor sites, or something else entirely

Nothing here is advice.

I originally got orforglipron as a backup for travel in case I couldn't do my weekly shot. Over the July 4th holiday I tried taking it for a few days while still using the injection. The appetite control and reduction in nervous habits felt noticeably stronger than the shot by itself. The benefit wasn't limited to the day I took the tablet; it seemed to carry into the next day and gave an extra sense of control. Adding some cardio and resistance work on top of that helped as well. It wasn't only about food noise; it felt like restarting GLP-1 treatment with a new layer of calm. Looking at how orforglipron works, unlike the injectable versions that are peptides mimicking the natural hormone, the oral version is a small molecule that binds a different part of the receptor. So maybe both can activate the receptor at once instead of competing for the same spot. I have no idea if that's really happening and there's no research proving it yet. It's just a theory that matches what I felt.

Quite surprising really as every other tale I've heard from those experimenting with the tablet claims it failed completely. This happens to be the initial report of positive results I've noticed.

I've been taking semaglutide since 2024 with good results. I'm not sure if it was just the higher total GLP-1 activity in my system or whether the other receptors were being activated. I'm very interested in this too, or maybe it's not orforglipron in the bottle at all.

It recruits camp more strongly. The same pattern appears with this agent at the receptor, with hardly any desensitization and it is probably among the most potent in comparison to those peptide variants.

I'm wondering about the right strength here. The versions I located come as six or ten milligrams each, and those feel stronger than the smaller options from branded versions.
