Summary

How are people losing 80+ pounds in under a year at age 50+ while combining peptides, exercise, diet changes and occasional fasting?

Multiple users in their early 50s report dropping 75-85 pounds in 6-8 months after starting at 325-330 lbs. They describe leading group fitness classes, riding e-bikes, noticing clothes fit loosely, reduced joint pain, and better social treatment. Most combine weekly peptide use with strength training, calorie control, and short fasts when weight stalls. One user had to pause after gallbladder issues linked to rapid loss.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

One user noted original fasting studies were done on men and women often experience negative effects; another countered that longer fasts can be beneficial for women with higher body fat when done sparingly.

Still open

Whether women should avoid or limit fasting during weight loss, and how to best preserve muscle or avoid side effects like flat glutes or gallbladder failure.

Nothing here is advice.

Began at 330 pounds at age 51, wearing XXXL and heading for 4XL with size 42 pants, and everything hurt constantly. Felt weak and always hunted for a couch whenever I went anywhere. This morning I hit 247 with 47 pounds still to go. XXL shirts are now loose on me and 38 waist pants feel baggy; another 20 pounds should get me to 36. I took over fitness sessions at the senior buildings where I work and now run strength and balance twice a week, bands and balls twice a week, plus an extra strength and stretch class three times a week, all well attended. That makes seven classes weekly on top of my own home workouts. People treat me much better and actually notice me, unlike when I was heavy and got overlooked. Picked up an electric bike and ride it everywhere unless it's too cold or rainy, with plans to commute on it once spring arrives. Feeling incredible lately. Used to think my good years were behind me but now see they are just starting. All of this happened in less than six months so far. Weighed in 83 pounds lighter this morning.

Wow, your appearance has me in awe! 😊 The effort invested is clearly visible, and it's working out great πŸ’―

It's great seeing this. Our current weights are similar. From 325 down to 245 now, aiming for 200 too. Exercise routine began in November last year. Diet stayed the same initially while pushing through tough sessions, resulting in modest loss. Come January I eliminated the sodas and adopted better nutrition habits, leading to faster results. Checking the scale feels good in most cases. After studying these compounds I tried a starting amount of that medication. Pounds keep falling away and those constant hunger thoughts disappeared. Everyone at the workout spot notices the improvement, and so does my family. Stories from others like this keep me going and simplify the whole process. We're both going to reach that target before long.

Congratulations on your progress! My situation matches yours closely. At fifty one years old, I began June weighing three hundred twenty five pounds and have reached two hundred fifty. Clothes in three x used to feel snug, yet now one x fits me. Everyday details stand out that went unnoticed before, such as lacing footwear with both feet positioned straight ahead instead of angled outward. Although it might appear minor, that moment brought a grin to my face. Wishing for continued success and many more active years to come.

SteadyTimber49archiveJan 28

That's excellent! Outstanding progress over six months.

QuietThistle43archiveJan 28

Awesome work! Can I ask what peptides you are currently using?

BrightMeadow26archiveJan 28

Gratz man! I love hearing about win/win situations.

BlueSignal49archiveJan 28

Congrats brother! The progress is so sick and inspiring. I am curious about the stack that helped you get there. I am early into my research and any insight would be awesome.

Dude, your account really made me beam with joy. Shedding that much weight so quickly at your age is truly motivating. Those big shirts now hang off you, pants sizes loosening up, and gliding along on your electric bicycle shows you're doing great. It's cool how you're embracing the vitality along with the loss. Notice how folks act friendlier? Sure, society responds better to strong, self-assured vibes, and you've worked hard for it all. Knowing that your prime time is ahead feels like the biggest achievement. Years don't define you when you're this active.

NorthSparrow63archiveJan 29

That is awesome! Keep kicking ass!

Count me in on that as well. For instance, I dropped eighty pounds across eight months by using 2.5 mg of TIR on a weekly basis without ever raising it.

WarmMeadow92archiveJan 29

Wow, you've pulled off such a huge shift over just half a year. Really solid effort there.

CopperSignal27archiveJan 29

I totally get what you mean about those early days. My whole body ached. For the initial months I felt too scared to step on a scale. Back then even my 7xl outfits felt tight with nothing larger available so I tracked changes via shrinking clothing sizes passing through various xl fits until I checked my weight at 2xl which came to 115kg.

GreySparrow64archiveJan 29

Great work. Thanks for sharing your story, it is inspiring!

PatientMeadow32archiveJan 29

Wow! You are absolutely smashing it, well done!

Nice work there buddy. Your update really shows the points I've shared with folks about these treatments. Sticking yourself every seven days won't do the trick alone. Putting in the work on your end is key. What you eat, how active you stay, overall habits, and sticking with it all matter big time for this major shift. Appreciate you putting this out there.

Your wins keep stacking up nicely and that really fires me up. Watching progress build on itself makes it easier to stick with things. These kinds of updates always put a smile on my face.

Sorry for the delay returning to this discussion after rushing my first entry during a weigh-in. Mornings stay busy too yet I wanted to express gratitude toward everyone here. The path from online forums through various medication forms to the current approach has been significant. I combine two compounds on separate days each week along with a recovery mixture twice daily which has noticeably improved longstanding physical issues. My regimen pauses temporarily ahead of an upcoming operation because rapid fat reduction affected my gallbladder which now operates below four percent capacity. I eliminated dairy products months back except for rare instances and surprisingly feel no longing for them unlike before. Sugary desserts that once dominated my intake are now simple to skip. Skin issues including blemishes on multiple body areas have vanished completely. Blood pressure readings that previously required emergency visits and reached extreme levels now register much lower at my recent checkup while still on medication which I may discontinue soon after monitoring. Physical activity forms a big part of my routine with thousands of steps daily from my role overseeing events and programs in a large retirement facility. Appreciation goes out to all for the support as this experience has transformed many aspects of my existence beyond what I can list. The responses exceeded my expectations when I simply wanted to note my progress. Heading off to my job now and will see everyone around the discussion boards.

AmberCompass48archiveJan 29

By the way whenever my results stop advancing after seven days and the scale shows no change the next week I skip meals entirely. Around the eighteen hour mark usually around midday the following day I drink an electrolyte beverage then keep going without food for periods ranging from twenty four hours up to forty eight. Every occasion I have tried this the weight has stayed off for good which has let me maintain steady weekly drops. I figured I should add this since entering a calorie deficit means my body taps into fat stores and maintaining that for twenty four to forty eight hours leads to really significant fat reduction.

That's great! I recently learned that the earliest research on fasting only included male subjects. Females typically encounter mostly harmful results when fasting.

NorthAnchor41archiveJan 29

I can feel your happiness in your post, great job! You have done a fantastic job preserving muscle mass as well. Do not let your rear get too flat. Mine did and air travel is uncomfortable.

SteadyLedger49archiveJan 29

Good on you! You are a 170-180 pound dude. You just do not know it yet.

PlainBeacon92archiveJan 29

Congratulations, that is awesome!!

WarmHarbour28archiveJan 29

Haha, it seems we've known each other since way back. Man, skipping meals just doesn't work because my glucose drops fast and leaves me trembling like some wasted local. Honestly though, it's great that I get to move around and stay active now. Yeah, totally on the same page here.

WrySparrow74archiveJan 30

Extended periods without food for a full day or two appear useful for females since they skip the tissue breakdown that shows up with shorter meal timing or reduced intake plans. This stands out more for those carrying extra weight or managing polycystic ovary syndrome along with related imbalances. Spacing remains important though, perhaps once every couple of weeks at most, or else adaptation kicks in and drops the resting burn rate. Females already on the lean side who push hard in training should skip fasting altogether because it lifts stress hormones and throws off internal balance.

PatientAlder37archiveJan 30

Did not have permissions to post congrats yesterday! But congrats so much! I am celebrating getting clean labs back yesterday myself after a 40 pound loss. No more statins and thyroid meds for me!

Way past any chance to fix it now. My backside stays totally level these days. So three pricey supports come along for driving, lounging at home, or during work since any firm surface ends up too near my lower spine while seated. Still attempting to alter things yet nothing shifts.

GreySparrow64archiveJan 30

Fantastic outcome! I'm pleased you mentioned it here. The tale you shared feels very uplifting. πŸ˜‰

Awesome progress there! I'm right in that similar spot too. Began around three hundred twenty pounds. Began treatment back in August. Have dropped close to thirty pounds so far. Triple x clothes are starting to feel loose. Really looking forward to fitting comfortably into double x and then extra large. Nice spotting someone else dealing with the same thing and doing great!

LevelAlder78archiveFeb 8

Congrats! These peptides are truly life changing!!

πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸͺ…πŸŽŠπŸ₯³πŸ₯³ What an incredible victory! GLP treatments really deliver. I have to remember the effort I invested to reach this stage and keep sustaining it. Folks claiming medication-aided slimming takes no real struggle clearly never went through the process themselves. Time to maintain my momentum!!!
