I'm examining a printer option at this moment because it turns out I actually require a laser version rather than an ink one. That's what prompted me to start this thread. 😅

Yeah I've noticed similar ones around, but don't they usually seem expensive for each label? Also I need a BUD date included on every label too! haha morning! 🐯

I've come across cheaper options, yet they still cost quite a bit. Labeling them properly is necessary so my grown kids won't bombard me with inquiries when the scientific experiments in the refrigerator appear discolored. It makes me chuckle. I couldn't have predicted ending up scolded more often than my own children. They definitely inherited the obedient traits linked to the male chromosome. Females seem to possess greater willingness to take chances.

yeah our situations aren't quite the same though. i've picked up four of these units already and i suspect i've moved past what they offer. i'll keep digging around this evening checking communities and discussion spots to see what others switched over to once they moved on from these. it feels off to step away but i'm planning to pass three along to folks in this group. probably hang on to the newest model since it's fresh out and i've tried it already and it works really well.

I've noticed folks on that site often bring up this printer in talks about labels. It stands out especially for color accuracy and how well photos come out. The eight ink dye setup creates really smooth blends with bright tones. Heavier papers like vinyl or special sticker sheets feed nicely from the back slot.

I have a tank-style inkjet at work and it has been reliable for daily pages over three years on the original supply. It also works with third-party ink. Newer versions are out there. Some folks use a cutting machine for custom shapes though mine is still boxed. Inkjets let you use glossy stock for a sharper professional finish that lasers cannot match, and colors blend nicely. Lasers win for crisp tiny text though. Canva lets you build a solid label in ten or twenty minutes. Here is one I put together taking cues from some established vial styles.

Check the older thread on label designs where folks started making their own for kits and sharing with others. It helped with identification and avoiding mix-ups. They also list the printers they use. I posted my latest ones made on an older laser that still needs cleaning. If you want to spend more look at the setup one user shared and you will laugh at the cost.

I wish it moved that fast. I am hoping some replies come in with test prints so I can grab one soon. I can buy new but prefer hunting a bargain even if it takes time. If that works out I should be printing and cutting by next weekend. Definitely going with an octopus theme. You are a good one though do not overdo it like the other user did.
