Tirz twice a week ?

36 replies21 peopleMay 17, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Does splitting tirzepatide into twice-weekly doses help with steady appetite control and fewer side effects?

Users report that splitting the weekly tirz amount across two injections spaced about 3.5 days apart produces steadier blood levels, reduces day-5 hunger rebound, and lowers side effects like GERD for some. Others combine it with small doses of cagri or reta on alternate days or simply shorten the interval to every 6 days. Convenience and personal response vary, with some returning to single weekly shots. Weight loss continues but pace differs by individual factors like hydration and sleep.

Has anybody been splitting their Tirz into two separate shots across seven days, with one early on and the other near the finish?

Isn't dividing the shot between the start and close of seven days basically the same timing? Haha. A bunch of people here inject twice each week, maybe midway and near the finish. Folks refer to that as splitting and it gives steadier amounts in the body. Some mention it holds cravings down more evenly and cuts back on side effects. I haven't divided mine since I first saw something claiming it could be weaker, though I'm unsure if that's accurate. The notion has hung around with me like a rumor. I just do it once a week because it's simpler that way.

A doctor I assist, who's quite young, follows this approach. He has issues with appetite control fading around the fifth to seventh day. It supposedly cuts the constant thoughts of food and eases unwanted reactions. He experiences reflux when taking it once weekly. According to him, the method works. Weight comes off very gradually at about a pound each week. Because of reactions like ear ringing, skin tingling, and reflux, I first attempted twice weekly injections. Then I changed to adding half a milligram of another compound in the middle of the week. Lately I've included one milligram of yet another. My schedule involves injections every two days over a six-day cycle. This hasn't produced results for me. Progress stopped five weeks ago. I haven't figured out what to try next. Soon I'll be away working for three months. There it's simpler to shed pounds since all I do is exercise and skip drinking.

My schedule has me using Tirz every Tuesday followed right away by 0.5mg of Cagrilintide. The reason is that hunger signals tend to return again late in the week.

AmberCinder46archiveMay 17

I set up my Tirz shots from Monday night through Friday early hours. That kept a steady three and a half day space between each injection. It suited me best for lowering cravings to nibble or enjoy a couple beverages across the weekend. Everyone picks their own timing naturally yet an eighty four hour stretch with Tirz worked out well in my experience.

LevelTimber64archiveMay 17

I administer the entire amount of my medication once every six days. Three days later I take 1.2 of the second compound. My progress with fat reduction is gradual owing to inadequate fluid consumption, insufficient rest periods, and elevated stress hormones. I am addressing these aspects.

I've noticed so many discussions cover this exact topic across the boards, and using the lookup tool performs wonderfully.

From the start I've followed this pattern without running into any issues or midweek lows. It works by taking half a dose of one then pausing two days before half a dose of the other and repeating the switch. At this stage I've gone below my target.

WarmAnchor46archiveMay 17

My upcoming doses include 1.5-2 milligrams Tirzep each Monday plus 1.5 milligrams Reta on Thursdays. This represents my current intention anyway. During the prior six weeks I used 3 milligrams Tirzep on a weekly basis.

AmberCinder18archiveMay 17

I didn't divide the amount at all, just moved the timing a little closer by switching from seven days to six while using the exact same quantity each time. That change probably works out to a modest bump overall, at least the way I figure it. In the first seven days after making the switch I dropped three pounds and no longer run into that dip which used to hit after five days.

SharpTimber40archiveMay 17

Early on I divided doses of Tirz but later returned to injecting it weekly. The reason was my schedule with Reta five days later plus Cagri, which wipes out hunger entirely. Injecting multiple times felt bothersome especially with all the other peptides I'm using now. Still, the splitting approach worked nicely back when I tried it.

Over the years I've had ongoing problems with binge eating. Feeling like food isn't always on my mind is such a relief. It really highlights how different we all are.

I've kept using this exact plan and it turns out effective personally.

LevelSignal57archiveMay 17

I divide my shots into two separate times each week. One happens early Tuesday and the other late Friday, both at the same hour. Tirzepatide is the only thing I use, nothing more. This keeps my amounts steadier overall, if that makes sense. Side effects have dropped quite a bit for me because of it.

RustMarble10archiveMay 17

I administer my shots on a five-day cycle and notice no unwanted reactions whatsoever. My spouse tends to react strongly to these medications but the adjusted interval removed every symptom he used to face.

SlowBramble67archiveMay 17

I've used the weekly injection for twenty-eight weeks now. Began with the lowest amount and increased it after a month, then kept it steady. Injections always happened every seventh day. My weight dropped from one hundred one kilograms down to seventy-eight. On the day before the next shot, hunger would return, yet it never caused me to overeat compared to other days. Rather than dividing the amount, I just ate smaller meals that day. Recently I got some from another source and it arrived shortly after ordering. I haven't tried it so far, so I'm unsure how it compares to what I've been using. Still, I see no need to divide the weekly amount.

I appreciate the help. Roughly an hour back I gave myself the starting injection amounting to 3.3 milligrams. That came about after mixing twenty milligrams into three milliliters of diluent rather than two, purely by accident. The device would let me deliver ninety units instead of sixty to reach five milligrams, though I prefer not to place so much fluid under the skin. Beginning at a maintenance level works out okay anyway. I cannot tell yet if any change will register right away. During the last two days I administered zero point three three milligrams daily of the other blend. All day today I noticed a clear drop in hunger signals. I had not expected such a noticeable result. If the pattern holds I will quit the first substance.

LevelTimber64archiveMay 19

I stick to approaches that keep up my solid progress without issues. Precision matters a lot whenever I handle the calculations for mixing.

WarmHarbour28archiveMay 19

On Saturday I took fifteen milligrams using a volume of half a milliliter. Thursday it was four and a half milligrams in fifteen hundredths of a milliliter. All the same substance by the way. The reason involves my thirty one gauge tools being limited to half milliliter capacity while thirty gauge tools reach full milliliter, and I really don't enjoy thirty gauge needles.

Maybe the steady extra liquid in those containers plays a role here, since they usually hold an extra point one five milliliters. Did you already get any of the pen versions? Curious what surplus volume they contain inside. I requested one earlier today.

AmberSignal16archiveMay 19
↳ replying to @WarmMeadow92

Have you looked at getting the cartridges loaded up in advance? I steer clear of those ones since they don't seem clean and there's no telling what substance ends up inside.

PatientHarbour23archiveMay 19

I began back in January with tiny split injections twice each week. That pattern held steady for months even as I slowly raised the amounts. One new compound got added during March and the next in April. These days I rotate the main two on a six-day cycle with a minimal third dose alongside both. The smallest addition pairs better right now with the newest substance while my tolerance stays low. Shifting the timing led me to nudge up one dose slightly since it now happens just weekly. My goal is balancing things to drop the third substance eventually and stick longer with the option that handles hunger signals more effectively than the alternative.

My guess is those devices hold the official factory version of the drug. Or at least that is how it looks to me.

That's the one I had in mind with those particular items. Picked up the fifteen milligram type and it arrives the following day. Appreciate the worry though.

WarmHarbour28archiveMay 19

Last year I used the prior injectors that came with 2.5 milligrams in each one. Pens still don't completely appeal to me. Maybe that extra amount inside would make choosing them worthwhile after all.

I get the feeling not every possibility crossed your mind. Examples include healthcare providers issuing orders for medication along with places to fill them and more.

Those disposable injector devices weren't worth the hassle of pulling out extra liquid. Since you're getting the bottles instead and need a bigger amount each time, that choice fits better. My relative takes two milligrams every week, so one of those larger pens could last her eight to twelve weeks because they include stabilizers that the individual bottles lack. I still need to work out how many clicks correspond to the right amount. The maker only marked the device with a single figure, trying to prevent dividing the doses, even though it does make clicking sounds for adjustments.

PatientMeadow76archiveMay 20

Previously those devices from Britain held enough liquid for one more full portion on top of the labeled amount along with some extra for needle setup. On the strongest version this allowed pulling out a fifth share using diabetic syringes since the dial stops after roughly two hundred forty adjustments for a grand total slightly above five times the usual single amount. That surplus got eliminated lately in Britain and Europe so rules match the American standard yet the cost stayed unchanged. Various increment guides exist online but figuring the amount per adjustment from knowing sixty equal one standard portion stays basic arithmetic and changes with each strength level. Folks stretch the bigger ones that way by using reduced amounts each time. I felt fine extending use over eight to ten weeks while sticking to clean habits and keeping the button pushed in during needle removal. Lately though I switched to the unregulated versions instead.

Appreciate the details you shared! Last evening I checked out some information about the ideal amount and how the device operates. Now I'm looking forward to examining the injector this afternoon. This isn't for my personal use, though a relative plans to apply smaller quantities over an extended stretch. Three months is what I had in mind.

I always inspect the liquid first just like checking a bottle to confirm it's transparent without any haze or particles. I store it cold until ready to use and skip the warming step others sometimes do before injecting which meant I experienced no burning sensation or reactions at the site. On the lid I mark when I opened it using a marker pen. One thing I found is that certain needles won't attach to this pen device while the majority of compatible ones that follow the required standard will work fine.

My shots happen on Tuesday mornings plus Friday evenings, splitting that 7 mg total each week. The reason for dividing it comes from intense hunger returning around the fifth day after an injection. Raising the amount isn't workable because the slowdown in digestion hits me too hard at bigger levels. The hunger stays present anyway, even with less intestinal movement and a fuller feeling. Right now this setup serves as my preferred option before testing different compounds.
