Concerns with starting doses in cag blends

21 replies8 peopleJun 4, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Why do some people fear 5 mg cag vials in blends and how do vial sizes relate to actual starting doses?

The thread shows initial alarm over a 5 mg cag vial quickly resolved once posters clarified that the full vial is never taken at once. Participants share personal weekly amounts from under 1 mg up to 2 mg, note that trial max doses were reached by only about 60 percent of people, and stress wide individual differences in tolerance. Several exchanges turn heated over perceived rudeness but end with agreement that cag combined with anything feels risky to some while others see no issue with careful low dosing.

The quantity of cag looks enormous. Mixing it with other compounds is something I would avoid entirely. If anyone has used cag, does beginning at 5 mg seem realistic?

GreenMeadow27archiveJun 4

The mix follows the same one-to-one ratio tested in studies. The initial amount used there was 2.4 mg of each, and nobody takes an entire vial in one go.

PatientQuill20archiveJun 4

I get why a blend with cag does not appeal, yet the 5 mg refers to the vial contents, not a single injection. People use those vials but only draw 0.25 mg each time.

I stay at 2 mg weekly. Plenty of others here report solid outcomes staying under 1 mg per week.

The one-to-one ratio matches the studies, but the starting amount was not 2.4 mg of each. That higher figure was the top dose, and only around 60 percent of participants reached it.

Thanks for clarifying. My main point was simply that a 5 mg bottle of each does not mean anything alarming because the whole thing is never used at once. Studies looked at both 1 mg and 2.4 mg levels.

Your point was completely right and I overlooked mentioning it. Sorry. The 5 mg combined vial is nothing to worry about since the entire contents are never taken together. Doing that would be quite an experience, though the fatigue from the cag would probably outweigh any nausea from the other part.

That explanation helps. Quite a few people here also struggle to begin at 1 mg, so it is not only me.

No need to be rude about it. I am far from alone in this, and that settles it. Everyone responds differently, and many cannot handle the larger amounts.

So you empty an entire reconstituted vial in one shot for every peptide? That is pretty extreme. Most users stretch a vial across 10 to 30 separate doses, so finishing one all at once seems reckless.

Same to you, no reason for rudeness. I simply was not thinking clearly at first. I already said I understand now.

My last comment was sarcastic. You seem like the sort of person who should avoid peptides unless a doctor oversees everything, since it is clear you do not grasp the basics. Honestly, just drop all of this, quit injecting things that lack clear dose instructions on the label, and learn more before causing yourself harm.

WarmSparrow33archiveJun 5

Some folks really cannot manage basic politeness. It costs nothing. I was not picturing the whole vial at all. My mind just went into overdrive. Thanks to everyone who answered calmly and took the time.

Yes, I actually do understand. I just was not thinking straight earlier.

PlainAnchor17archiveJun 5

I had not realized the studies used a one-to-one ratio. This thread taught me several things, so thank you. Still, I am not touching cag myself. That compound feels too risky.

WarmSparrow33archiveJun 5

I wanted to quote my own earlier post but could not figure out how. I was not considering the whole vial. The sight of cag alone made me think absolutely not. I do use it, yet it remains an unpredictable compound. Picturing it used this way just does not compute for me, but everyone is different. Some have trouble with another substance while I get no burning or reaction at all. A few here may think I am clueless, but I am not. I know what I am doing and research every day. I rarely post questions like this because I usually solve things myself. I am capable of that. So stop acting like a jerk.

I agree completely about avoiding any premixed cag product. That is probably what originally concerned you. Only about 60 percent of participants in the combined trials reached the highest dose. That outcome is unsurprising. Using both compounds the same day must have been rough. For that reason I will not combine cag with anything. Still, some people apparently handle the mixed version without trouble. Reactions to these substances differ a lot from person to person.

That was the real reason I started this thread. Thanks for recognizing the point I was trying to make. They keep adding extra ingredients to sema, and that alone makes me never want to use it.

WarmMeadow92archiveJun 5

With sema by itself I would not worry. Last fall I added a small amount to another compound for about 12 weeks and felt fine, no nausea or stomach issues. My progress had slowed, so the addition gave it a boost and I dropped 18 pounds over two months. I keep a little extra on hand labeled for emergencies.

RustBeacon82archiveJun 5

I am four pounds from my target and was thinking about trying this blend just for maintenance. Has anyone here actually used it and what were the results?

WarmSparrow33archiveJun 5

You are right. Nothing to fear with sema.
