I know tirzepatide holds up fine when frozen after mixing, and some folks have frozen prefilled pen cartridges without problems. I'm curious whether ordinary easy-touch insulin syringes would hold up too, especially the rubber plunger. It seems like you'd need to keep them upright with a bit of air space so expansion doesn't push liquid out, but I wonder if anyone else has tried this. I ended up with an oversized vial I won't finish in time and thought preloading a few syringes to freeze until needed might work best.

Honestly I see multiple problems with doing it this way. For starters putting the mixed peptides into a freezer tends to damage them. Cleanliness would also suffer if they sit inside a needle. Those plastic containers were never built to hold anything beyond a brief moment either. It comes across as needless complication. I take it the plan involves tossing the medication once the month ends. Plenty of folks keep going with theirs well beyond that point and the chance of contamination from your approach would exceed what comes with ordinary syringe storage.

I could split the stuff across a few extra containers, stick them in the freezer, and pull out only the portion I expect to finish inside my chosen window. Naturally I keep everything clean and sterile throughout the process.

From what I've seen, certain pharmacies that mix medications ship them already prepared like that. It doesn't prove anything about correctness, yet it suggests the pharmacist in charge there has approved the practice. I and others view three months as acceptable for keeping a mixed and chilled container of the medication, provided the top gets wiped with alcohol each time it's used. Should your bigger container match up to that duration, it could work out better. Plus it allows room to change how much you take or divide it differently if needed.

The compound holds up well even with multiple cycles of freezing and thawing, showing minimal breakdown around two percent. Regarding the plastic container, that's the reason for my question, though these aren't designed for extended storage unlike the cartridge in the pen device. I'm thinking about using one anyway because of a lack of knowledge prior to becoming part of this community combined with buying an oversized container on a whim. I've already used it for five or six weeks and have consumed roughly a third, so I'd prefer to preserve what's left. Splitting the rest among additional containers means each would start with that same five or six weeks already elapsed from its potential duration, and to optimize usage I'd probably need six separate ones. Alternatively, filling syringes ahead of time lets me draw from them whenever necessary without concern over having already lost half the storage time. This depends on accepting a three-month window for usage; anyone who discards after four weeks would see I'm beyond that point already. That's the dilemma I'm facing.

That's new to me since I've never run into any mixing service handling things this way before. It leaves me wondering if they hand out plain needles or upgraded versions like auto-dose pens which I bet work a lot nicer though I don't own anything like that right now.

Last evening it occurred to me while considering that I'd need to purchase several clean containers and divide the contents of those 30mg packages from the collective purchase before putting them in the freezer following suggestions from a different discussion to avoid losing any of that precious liquid. I'd also need to handle the single container I'm currently working with which has already been open for forty days so I'd end up noting the timelines and such but I couldn't locate similar posts anywhere else and it's funny to think I came up with something new on this site haha

Way back when I had no clue about these compounds and my hair hadn't turned silver yet, I filled up some diabetic needles ahead of time with my mixed version of that medication. I left them at room temperature. In seven days the final needle gets used, which will be over two months old by then. It continues to function fine, I've had zero reactions at the injection spots or any other issues whatsoever. Perhaps something to think about for a single instance situation.

I would experiment with just a single one or maybe two using various approaches to check which method succeeds. There's no point in using up an entire container merely to determine if something functions or not. In my view this approach should succeed. Keep in mind that heating causes the air inside to increase in volume so the orientation needs to face upward during that process. For safety reasons I prefer leaving the protective covers in place although that's impossible with the plunger parts. One downside which actually benefits cartridges instead involves the tip becoming less sharp after some delay before application.

Yeah I'm working on finishing what's left inside this container before it goes bad. Finishing it off might take more than a hundred days total so if it stops working there's really no big downside. Right I should store these upright the entire time. Appreciate the reminder I would've just set them down sideways without a second thought.
