How to break a long stall near goal weight while on Tirz and survo

The original poster has been stalled for months at 8 mg Tirz plus 2 mg survo despite exercise and is seeking ways to reach the final pounds. Participants suggest titrating Tirz higher even after prior side effects, adding an amylin agonist like Cagri, reviewing calorie intake more carefully, or using other peptides at specific times. Several note that the last pounds are physiologically harder due to metabolic adaptation and that splitting doses or diet breaks can help.

Hi folks, started on Tirz from August 2025 onward and shed 42 pounds total. As a 53 year old man my numbers went from 230 down to 186 with 175 as target. These days my dose is 8mg Tirz plus 2mg survo while hitting the gym three or four sessions each week mixing weights with cardio. Progress stopped back in April though and reaching that final goal feels really difficult now. Would welcome any ideas.

Curious how much time you've spent at eight milligrams and how the unwanted effects are going. What's prompting the addition of that extra one over simply raising the amount of this one? The most straightforward thing appears to be raising it assuming tolerance allows.

Appreciate it. Started using eight milligrams back in December with nothing negative happening. Gave ten milligrams a shot once and felt it strongly, which led me to return to seven point five through eight milligrams. Threw in survo to handle the glucagon aspect.

After my weight loss slowed down I altered my routine and it helped me move forward again. I'm unsure about the effects of survo. Each morning at five I administer three hundred fifty micrograms of the ipa and cjc combination without dac. It begins to act half an hour later. I avoid food until noon. Hunger hits around nine or ten but I pay no attention and it fades. Then the combination pulls energy from the remaining belly fat to fuel my muscles. I'm continuing to shed pounds gradually while on the steady two milligrams weekly of tirz along with the daily three hundred fifty microgram dose of the ipa cjc mix. Previously I divided the injections into two and consumed small meals throughout the day. My advancement halted entirely yet I avoided raising the amount. I just modified how I was doing things.

My dose had space to go higher without problems, but when ten felt overwhelming I switched down to nine. That kind of extended plateau showed a larger amount was really needed.

The last few pounds before hitting my target seem tougher to shed for biological reasons rather than lack of effort or exercise routines. It's due to how the body adjusts physiologically. Things like changes in metabolism and lower leptin levels play a role in holding onto fat stores. This probably stems from ancient times when extra weight helped during food shortages. I've found increasing protein intake along with keeping up strength exercises helps signal that there's enough food. Taking breaks from the deficit by eating normally for about fourteen days has been mentioned by others as useful. For additional help with certain compounds, something that acts on amylin pathways might allow further progress based on animal research. I'm dealing with this too right now, just needing to drop those remaining eight pounds.

Hope everything works out for you! Introducing this item means using tiny portions because they pack quite a punch, which is why easing in with the smallest possible amount slowly makes sense. My first dose was half a milligram but looking back a quarter might have suited me better. At the six week mark I remain on that same half milligram amount.

Your suggestion is greatly valued since this marks my first experience with it.

When I hit a plateau with Tirz I raised the amount by 2.5, normally after eight weeks at one level. That happened sooner at smaller amounts, while I stretched the time between changes more once I reached bigger ones around eight or higher. Right now I'm at ten and intend to stay there for as long as I can before moving to twelve point five. I've quit checking my weight every couple of days since the numbers jump around a lot lately, yet because I'm adding muscle, holding steady without adding pounds counts as progress. There's still a small distance left to my target weight. I hope sharing what I've been through might assist someone else's path somehow.

I think this guidance holds up well overall. Lots of folks get stuck below the highest approved levels, and bumping up the amount often helps break through that plateau. However, the original poster mentioned feeling some unpleasant effects after increasing to that higher amount. Not sure exactly when they tried that higher level, but it could make sense to give it another shot.

I noticed some bothersome reactions after reaching ten milligrams, reactions absent at smaller amounts, specifically loose stools. They appeared two days following the intake. The initial occurrence lasted intensely for a couple of days, the next one was milder, and by now they've faded completely. Probably they'll return once I increase to twelve point five, yet I feel ready for it. Besides, nothing requires jumping straight to that higher level; stepping up slowly works fine too.

Yeah that lines up with how things went for me. The first compound never struck me as especially strong for dropping weight so focusing on raising the second one produced steadier early progress up toward the top weekly amount. Earlier reactions at a lower level did not stop me from pushing higher since tolerance seemed to build and things stayed manageable. That combination at the upper dose of the main drug plus a small amount of the substitute every five or six days has delivered solid results overall. The substitute came in after a bad itchy rash from the third option and it handles the deeper fat layers that resist other efforts. Appetite stays mostly in check from the primary medication while the add-in targets the stubborn areas. Skipping the initial compound for now makes sense until the main one gets fully explored again since it lacks real punch and value compared with the rest of the stack.

Speaking as someone who takes twenty milligrams every seven days and remained plateaued indefinitely, I went over what I was eating in terms of calories. The system gets used to things quickly. Dropping sixty pounds brought me to where my body holds steady on energy needs. Shedding pounds came without effort at first but stopped later. There's that old line about not being able to exercise your way past poor eating habits, and it's true in my case. Physical activity for me means using tools like a spade or a garden fork or a saw for cutting wood. So I double-checked what I consume and tried smaller servings, which made the difference.

Yeah, starting with a slow increase on the tirzepatide makes sense before introducing the other compound. I have no idea about the cagrilintide the original poster is using, yet the one I have feels very powerful and low-cost. There's no way I could go through such a large amount within thirty days. I'd likely be out cold the whole time or skipping meals entirely for long stretches.

WarmMeadow92archiveJun 21
↳ replying to @WarmHarbour28

Yeah, that's how it works for dropping pounds. You need to use up more energy than you take in. Since there's no precise way to gauge energy expenditure, the practical step is watching intake and keeping it below what your body needs. Logging food intake feels tedious, yet skipping it means you lack any real sense of your actual portions or totals. These treatments make holding that lower level feel much simpler. I fully back the view that no amount of activity can fix poor eating patterns.

Yeah I picked up several sets a while back just to keep around for possible later use. My thinking is they could serve as support alongside tirz or reta if I run into a sticking point sometime. I also grabbed a few sema ones with that exact idea in mind.

LevelPebble88archiveJun 22

When I experience adverse reactions personally, dividing my fresh weekly amount into two portions at first seemed useful, spaced evenly throughout the seven days. This lowers the maximum levels that mainly trigger those reactions according to what I've seen.

↳ replying to @WarmHarbour28

I'll keep that idea in mind. That said, over the last seven days I dropped three and a half pounds. I wonder if it stems from raising the dose to nine milligrams while keeping the survo steady at two milligrams together with workouts and food changes. The end of each week always tests me with restaurant meals and drinks, though enjoying life still counts haha

Thanks for the update. I'm in a comparable position myself, only five or six pounds away from my aim.

PlainAlder11archiveJun 22

I'm down to the final five pounds before my goal. Earlier the scale was moving at one and a half or two pounds each week. Lately it's barely shifting by two tenths, and actually rose by that amount over the past seven days. Isn't that something.

At times my body appears to halt unexpectedly with no clear explanation in my opinion. I find that patience usually gets things moving again.
