Hey everyone, I'm after a needle in the 27g to 29g range that's a full inch long. Do those even exist? The finest I've seen so far are 25g and I'm wondering if the longer ones have to be thicker to stay straight.
Are these for mixing? You can get 25g at an inch and a half or 30g at one inch from regular sources. They flex a fair bit though. Not sure how well that works for muscle shots.
Needle size uses the gage system where a higher number actually means a smaller diameter.
I wouldn't pick something that narrow and that long because it will flex too much. I just use 31g short ones for mixing and for shots. Stoppers can sometimes fight back and the needles bend a little then too, so I just grab another.

I stick with 25g one inch for muscle shots with oils and haven't run into problems. Going thinner like 31g just raises the odds it will bend, so if anything you'd want to go thicker like 23g or 21g instead.

Thanks. The real issue is I keep hesitating right before the shot and then it ends up hurting worse because I end up pushing harder. I was hoping a smaller gage than 25 would make it less painful going in, or maybe I just need to commit to the motion instead of second-guessing.
Both 27g and 30g are finer than 25g. For the shoulder, half an inch is usually enough to reach the muscle once body fat is low.
Be careful what you ask for. I tried one inch 30g on a different compound and the injection itself didn't hurt, but forcing the liquid through took so much effort that my thumb was sore afterward.
