Happy to see that switching units worked out for you π It helped me too because neither pounds by themselves nor kilos ever felt like natural ways to think about body weight.
I picked up the suggestion from another user who talked about using stone and kilograms for weighing. Being from public schools, pounds are the only units that feel real to me, even though I use grams when cooking or making soap. On the scale in pounds I always get stuck at numbers ending in 5 or 0. It's all in my head; those become the targets I fixate on, and I get excited about hitting the next one only to stall and then sabotage myself by overeating. It kept happening at 170, 165, 160, 155 and so on. So I changed my scale to kilograms starting at 66.5 kg. Now I'm at 65.2 kg. I don't know the pound equivalent and please don't convert it for me. Without familiar numbers to obsess over, I'm not stressing myself out anymore, though I still have my target of 56.7 kg which is 125 pounds and right in the healthy BMI range.
