I'm curious if others have attempted to freeze the mixed version of this compound inside those pen-style cartridges. In theory, it seems like it should work the same as with a standard vial, though I'm uncertain about that. Removing the air beforehand to allow for expansion during freezing might not be wise. Plus, since the stopper on these cartridges isn't secured the same way as on vials, they may not hold up well as a container for freezing. One option would be to mix it and freeze it in a normal vial first, then thaw and transfer it over to the cartridge when ready, but that adds an extra process I'd rather skip.

My question actually concerned if freezing the prepared medication inside a cartridge pen instead of a bottle would skip an extra action, though I feel the bottle will prove more secure in the end. I understand this medication handles freezing.

It tends to grow larger over time. Provided the container has enough room left and the plug stays secure, things work out okay for me. Still, I tend to restrict this approach to a single substance and just one round of it. It seems sensible mainly when keeping the item around for at least three months.

Appreciate the input. I expected some swelling plus possible plug movement, which prompted my question in the first place. My plan was limited to just one round of freezing then thawing with the substance. Refrigerated storage could work fine as an alternative. Extended time on ice was never something I had in mind anyway.

That question has been on my mind too. Once I prepared a container ahead of time but had no immediate use for it, so I passed it along to avoid any risk of spoilage since I was uncertain. Preparing several in advance and storing them cold sounds ideal, yet the possibility of them rupturing and ruining the batch concerns me. I considered allowing room at the top to accommodate swelling, however that might invite unwanted elements inside.
When putting those containers into the freezer I fill them just two thirds of the way though they could probably take a little more. I also remove every bit of air ahead of time so any swelling won't push the plug loose. Even when I skipped that step completely the plug never came out.

Glad to hear you pulled it off without issues for the others. Wondering whether that one and a half ml will suffice when it's just halfway. With what I got tested at thirty four mg, I plan on cutting back the liquid amount from what I used before at two ml to one and a half now, in case I end up needing more later on.

I checked the freezer a moment ago and spotted a full unit of klow that got put away in the cold and slipped my mind until right then plus half a unit of survo since I've moved over to reta for now and have no use for it at present. The stopper shows no shift on either from what I can tell.

This helps avoid discarding whatever remains from my stock, especially since I began with a smaller amount and finishing each trolley takes some time. I am grateful for the image as well!! This has me wondering too. I prepare a combination involving those compounds for one of my relatives. Being able to mix them up beforehand and just grab from cold storage when it's time would be convenient.
