I agree completely. No film has captured a novel as perfectly as that one about the fight club. All aspects were executed brilliantly, and many folks mistakenly view the main character as the protagonist. Taking performance enhancers at a young age might simply reflect the bold attitude toward danger that comes with being young. Plus, average testosterone amounts for guys have dropped to record lows these days. Back then, when I was in my early twenties, I felt a strong urge to bulk up and improve everything possible, so I considered hormone replacement. But stories about others stopping and still having children later didn't convince me. Choosing to risk permanent childlessness, even if fixable afterward, seemed unwise given my clear desire for a family someday. Luckily, my own numbers stayed decent without extreme drops, though a genuine shortfall that lifestyle couldn't fix might have changed my mind.
