Summary

Has anyone tried THCV alongside weight-loss medication for appetite control and what were the effects?

Users discussed a THCV study aimed at curbing food cravings and enhancing another medication, with one person disqualified from enrollment after a positive cannabis test from gummies taken a month earlier. Several participants shared personal experiences noting mild appetite reduction without paranoia, anxiety, or intoxication, while others recalled that certain cannabis compounds can trigger paranoia or munchies depending on the strain. Comments also covered detection windows for gummies and the role of CBD balance in avoiding unwanted effects.

Has anyone come across the weight loss research on THCV for reducing food cravings? It's being looked at as an add-on to another medication to improve results. I tried signing up for the trial a few months back but got turned down after testing positive for cannabis from gummies I had about a month earlier. THCV is available to buy online so I'm going to test it with my current medication. Anyone here tried that combination before? Would like to hear how it went.

They overlooked breathing when compiling the exclusions.

I looked into THCV when it first appeared. I'd consider trying it now except my probation officer likely wouldn't approve. Hopefully it avoids making people foggy or disrupting deep sleep the way regular THC does. THC feels more like something for occasional use only.

Just a quick note that THCV, one of the cannabis compounds, is the one that leaves many people feeling paranoid. Hope that doesn't happen for you.

Yeah marijuana always seemed to trigger my appetite back then.

With the right strain it works really well. Not every strain triggers hunger, some do the reverse. It's different from what we used to smoke years ago. I'm in a medical state and the local spots helped me and my husband pick suitable options.

I had no idea gummies could still show up after a whole month unless it was a hair test.

I just bought some and have been taking it for a few days. No paranoia at all, no anxiety, and no high feeling. I'm noticing mild appetite control, especially around junk food. From what I read online, THCV is much less likely to trigger paranoia or strong anxiety and can even work against the receptors that cause THC-related anxiety, sometimes helping with stress instead.

You're right that missing CBD in some strains leaves THC unbalanced, so higher THC with low CBD tends to bring on paranoia.

I think the piece I saw on sativas, which I like, gave THCV a bad name because the strain it mentioned had both high THCV and high THC and was known for paranoia. I respectfully disagree.

The versions available now that I've tried don't produce a high or paranoia. I've tested two different brands already. The research also indicated there wouldn't be a high. Skip them if you're worried about that.
