Tesamorelin benefits compared to Reta

5 replies5 peopleApr 14, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

How does tesamorelin compare to retatrutide for losing stubborn midsection or visceral fat?

Users report retatrutide produced no noticeable side effects but left some stubborn fat untouched. Tesamorelin is described as targeting visceral fat around organs and the midsection, though it requires diet, exercise, and a calorie deficit to work. Core training is suggested by some to enhance results while others note spot reduction does not occur. A combination is mentioned as potentially ideal but more costly.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

Whether core workouts provide targeted benefit with tesamorelin or if the midsection remains stubborn regardless due to cortisol and the impossibility of spot reduction

Whether tesamorelin combines effectively with tirzepatide for core fat loss

Nothing here is advice.

I've used Reta in the past and noticed zero side effects, though my hair has thinned and I hope that isn't related. I still carry some stubborn body fat in spots that I've heard Tesa targets, especially visceral areas. Looking for thoughts from others before deciding.

Tesa helps break down fat in the midsection but diet and exercise still need to be part of it. Core workouts are preferred when the goal is the mid area. A typical five days on and two off schedule is recommended.

Why would core workouts be preferred for targeting the mid section? Spot reduction doesn't work if this is what you're suggesting. The mid section is usually stubborn due to cortisol etc.

I've noticed this one targets the stomach area well. Looking into it on my own showed me core training makes an impact. The peptides support how it all works. Working out that part of my body gave me stronger effects.

I'm curious if Tesa and Tirz together target fat in the abdominal area.

Haven't given Tesa a shot myself, though people say it works well on the fat around your internal organs. That means it probably won't help much with the layer covering your stomach muscles from too much beer, aside from perhaps firming things slightly. Shedding that waistline fat really comes down to eating fewer calories overall. The alternatives like Reta or tirz seem more effective since they cut appetite and raise how fast your body burns energy. That stomach area fat could stick around for a while longer though. Combining those two would cover everything nicely, except Tesa costs quite a bit more.
