That sounds like advice from someone who has never dealt with deep fatigue. How many nights do you sleep a full night yet wake up still exhausted? No offense, but the suggestion to just walk when the person already said exercise flares their condition does not line up. It is common advice, yet sometimes it helps to note the mismatch so people realize their own experience is not everyone's.

I am also stuck after eight weeks. Appetite suppression faded and the scale stopped even though I have twenty-five pounds down and still want another twenty-five to thirty-five. I am only at four milligrams. I might add a little tirz or try berberine first. The fatigue you mentioned sounds familiar; I had crushing tiredness for two years. After peptides I tried cjc/ipam then switched to one iu of hgh daily and the fatigue vanished the same day. Might be worth checking if low growth hormone is part of it.

I had the same stall after five weeks at eight milligrams of reta. I switched back to tirz and started losing again. It felt like reta was causing more water retention. I had already lost forty-five pounds on sema before trying reta for sixteen weeks with only six pounds total. Back on tirz two weeks and already down five more. Everyone reacts differently and some stalls happen no matter what you track. Reta has not been the game changer for me that others describe.

What you describe is not real. Your body does not suddenly stop needing energy for basic functions. If the scale is not moving it is usually water weight. Basal metabolic rate does not drop that dramatically.

Did you stop reta completely and switch straight to tirz? Had you used tirz before reta, and what dose did you start at right after?

I went straight from eight milligrams of reta to five milligrams of tirz. Food noise disappeared within the first hour and the constant full feeling returned. Water retention also seemed to ease, which probably explains the quick five-pound drop. Plenty of others have reported similar patterns. Some folks here get defensive when results differ from the hype, so it helps to take comments with a grain of salt.

Had you ever used tirz before reta, or was five milligrams your first time? That seems high for a starting dose. Thanks for the details.

Never used tirz before. I just tried five milligrams after reading other experiences and it worked out well.

The makers have reasons for the titration schedules they publish. Many here push low and slow mainly to stretch supply or because their batches are untested. Is your material tested? Sometimes a stall is just under-dosed product. Changing sources can make a difference.

The science does not line up with that view. The drop in energy expenditure after weight loss is well documented across many studies and matters for long-term results. Diet-induced thermogenesis falls when intake drops. Lower calories also reduce spontaneous movement through fatigue. Over months, chronic restriction lowers expenditure further even beyond the effect of lost mass.

They are talking about the classic starvation-mode claim, not the normal reduction in burn from carrying less body mass. That second part is real; the first is not.

BlueTimber11archiveAug 14

People do not starve to death while still carrying plenty of fat.

After dengue fever I dealt with long-term profound fatigue for over a year. I started with five-minute walks and slowly built to an hour five days a week. For most of my life I ran on three or four hours of sleep and still woke tired.

You are describing normal adaptation from weighing less, not the idea that a deficit suddenly puts your body into a hidden mode that slashes your basal rate by seventy-five percent. Those are two separate things.

What do you call it when eating too few calories makes the body hold water so the scale stays flat or even rises? Besides calling it imaginary. You are dismissing my actual experience, so I wonder what label fits instead. In these CICO talks it often gets assumed the person is just miscounting. Is that the claim here?

After those walks, did you get the kind of multi-day flare with worse pain and deeper exhaustion that fibromyalgia triggers, or could you keep adding time without setbacks?

CopperHarbour29archiveAug 14
↳ replying to @PatientPebble79

There is no special name. Water retention can happen for many reasons and has nothing to do with actual fat loss.

LevelCinder55archiveAug 17

Why not just say it? You seem to know more about my background than I do. What other assumptions would you like to pin on me? I do not recall ever speaking with you.

A lot of people hesitate to go higher. I reached twelve milligrams and dropped thirty-five percent of my starting weight in about a year. Maintenance has been a few months now and I am back down to four milligrams weekly.

SteadyQuill85archiveAug 31

Four weeks after moving to eight milligrams the side effects are intense. Fatigue, skin sensitivity, and nausea are all worse and my fibromyalgia pain has flared badly. I am going to try splitting the dose for a month and switch to tirz if nothing improves.

CopperSignal27archiveSep 1

When sides are strong, wait for them to ease before the next dose and make that dose smaller. Nausea usually means good appetite control, so a modest reduction should still work. Drop back to the highest dose that felt tolerable. Split dosing helps if the worst effects hit right after the shot; otherwise just lower the total. Once things settle you can inch up very slowly, maybe one milligram every month or two, and back off again if problems return.

Nice that you have been able to maintain on a much lower dose. How long have you been at four milligrams? Surprising but good for you. I am also trying to find the lowest effective amount. Thirty-five percent loss at twelve milligrams is solid.

Thanks. Started at two hundred fifty-three pounds and reached one hundred sixty-three. Felt a bit too lean so I have been eating more to add muscle and am now at one hundred sixty-eight with waist still at thirty-two inches. Five foot eight, fifty-eight years old.

SteadyQuill85archiveSep 5

Quick update. Yesterday was injection day. I meant to split the dose but ended up taking the full eight milligrams. This time I pinned it in my arm instead of the usual spot. No side effects so far. Does injection site actually change how it feels?

I have only ever used the belly. Those are the approved subcutaneous sites.

IronLedger49archive2d

Hi everyone. Seven kilograms from goal. Two milligrams of reta was working but after a month at four milligrams the scale has not moved and I even gained a little. Appetite and constant cravings are back. Any suggestions?

Add a second weekly shot of tirz at two point five milligrams midway through the week. Reta is weaker on food noise. Over a few months raise the tirz until the noise disappears. If noise was the main problem, starting with tirz and adding reta later might have been smoother.
