You feel safe injecting random Chinese substances into your body?

Summary

is using chinese peptides safer or riskier than past drug habits and covid vaccines

Participants defend sourcing peptides from China by comparing it to their earlier reckless drug use, party habits, and vaccine side effects they experienced or witnessed. Several describe personal vaccine injuries like pulmonary embolism and contrast that with feeling healthier now on peptides. Others push back by saying they trust vaccines and reject the comparisons.

I used to finish a bag fast and chase it with Jose Cuervo Gold, then hit Taco Bell for twenty bucks the next morning. Chinese stuff sounds fine by comparison.

SteadyQuill55archiveMay 9

I stay on the offensive. Sure, some of them are blue.

IronLantern24archiveMay 9

I tell folks I'm here for a good time, not a long time.

Cheech called and he is worried about your peptide safety.

That is an old reference but I love it.

This is exactly what I say when friends give me side eye about my new habit. I also point out they joined in the same wild stuff back then. A few months later some of them suddenly look thin and fit.

RustPebble43archiveMay 9

Peptides are safer than the covid vaccine. The same people who criticize peptide use were fine with getting the rushed shots multiple times and wanted them forced on everyone.

AmberCompass48archiveMay 9

I drove a party bus for raves and bachelor parties. I swallowed plenty of random floor drugs back then. Shooting unknown Chinese material now feels like an upgrade.

SteadyTimber22archiveMay 9

China? Of course. Only the best. My contact is right in the middle of Chinese bio-pharma research in Wuhan.

I once shared a used syringe two or three times with a friend. The needle was bent like a corkscrew and I tried to hit a vein for heroin and meth after filtering water through a Q-tip head and cooking it with a lighter. Missed the vein and dug around for five minutes. Now I am healthier than ever. SubQ shots do not bring that back. They are far safer. The second Pfizer shot gave me a pulmonary embolism two days later. I spent five days in the hospital, nearly died, and lost permanent lung capacity. They still bill me and the balance is around nineteen thousand. When I tried to get blood thinners at a follow-up and mentioned I thought the vaccine caused it, the doctor refused and demanded proof of the embolism.

I would rather burn out than fade away. That is my usual line.

Screw all of them and their vaccines. I skip flu shots, shingles, everything.

My sister-in-law had a full pulmonary embolism eight hours after her shot and did not survive. A thirty-eight-year-old coworker in great shape was found dead in bed on vacation right after his second dose with an inflamed heart and fluid around it. The gaslighting of injured people is ridiculous. Glad you made it through to share your story.

I am right there with you. I worked in a 911 center during the pandemic and when the shots started rolling out it was chaos.

That is awful. It could have been me if I had not reached the hospital in time or if the doctors had delayed another three hours. Because of the pain I could not lie flat for the MRI. They gave me an antipsychotic, then a benzodiazepine, then fentanyl, then ketamine before I could get in the machine. The morphine afterward was intense. I have a pre-existing heart condition that thankfully did not worsen. I credit the nattokinase and other things I took afterward.

My oldest is a paramedic and has stories too. He and his wife both said no to the shots.

SlowSignal40archiveMay 9

You have no problem swallowing random items without knowing their origin because industry said they were great. You also take medications probably made in China because a white-coated person told you to. Yet you question something I take to actually cure an illness instead of just manage it. I have some bridges you might want to buy.

Who exactly are you trying to get rid of?

PlainAnchor17archiveMay 9

Smoking with vaccinated friends after Taco Bell and mystery party pills, everyone agrees to get baked. Then someone pulls out Chinese HGH and suddenly the same people worry about where it came from.

SlowSignal40archiveMay 9

I avoided the vaccine for years until immigration required it in 2024. In high school I was accepted to medical school but chose engineering instead. A classmate became a doctor in Paris. After a patient died post-vaccine he performed an autopsy for his own safety and was fired. He now works in India.

Same here. I was not completely against vaccines but the new technology made me cautious. On rollout day we had more ambulance calls than ever. Then my sister-in-law and the coworker incidents happened. Hard pass.

I live in the Bay Area where skipping the vaccine was rare. My kids were not getting it. At school the teacher asked who had the shot and my oldest was the only one who did not raise a hand. When I asked how that felt he said it made him glad he skipped it and refused to be pressured. I told him the apple does not fall far from the tree.

Smart choice with the nattokinase. Glad you survived to tell it.

I would be dead without the covid vaccines. Immunocompromised, overweight, Black, older. Our group was hit first. So yes, I took every vaccine offered.

SlowSignal40archiveMay 9

Name the only major drug class where makers cannot be sued for harm. How many childhood vaccines failed to prevent later infection? Which one made officials redefine the word vaccine? The same people who demand clinical proof released something without full testing and mandated it. They also dismissed the lab-leak idea for years even though the virus came from a city with a level-four coronavirus lab.

SlowHarbour21archiveMay 9

How can we trust the government again? Start with a trial, conviction, and death sentence for Dr. Fauci. Even that is too lenient.

SlowSignal40archiveMay 9
↳ replying to @SlowHarbour21

Again? When was trust ever there? Singling out one person would just cause everyone to tune out.

GreenMeadow54archiveMay 9

Many say it is better than the alternative. If you vet sources, test, and filter properly, Chinese peptides are generally safe with low downside. Ordering from random social-media sellers is different. Some peptides carry more risk than others, but that is not mainly a China issue.

IQ is a real measure for certain things. Tests can be culturally biased, especially older ones given to non-English speakers. Raven's matrices are supposed to be more neutral. I tested myself and others with a communitypsychometrics version accurate to about ten points. My score was above average but two friends scored higher, one who used to huff gasoline and another who falls for political misinformation and MLMs.

You nailed it. If you think through the risks the worst outcome is probably a hospital visit for antibiotics or antihistamines, maybe some reversible damage. That is still milder than rush-hour driving or untreated obesity. It is a bold thing to say on a weight-loss forum though. We are lucky to even have this conversation.

Hope everyone had fun. I am sure we all found the covid-vaccine opinions insightful and relevant. Locking the thread.
