Large welting and allergic response to Tesamorelin, similar to bug bite reactions.

17 replies9 peopleApr 17, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Why am I developing large itchy welts and swelling at Tesamorelin injection sites after several weeks?

Users report similar delayed histamine-style reactions to Tesamorelin and related GHRPs that often worsen over time and resemble strong bug-bite responses. Site rotation to glutes or love handles resolved the issue for some while others saw reactions fade after the first cycle or with extra bac water. A few note it may be histamine rather than full allergy, but severe or growing reactions prompted warnings to stop and consider alternatives like antihistamines or other peptides.

I'm seeking input about how my body reacts with histamine issues while using tesamorelin. I've reached week five on a protocol combining it with ipamorelin at 2 mg and 300 mcg respectively, following a five days on two off pattern. Early on the subcutaneous shots went smoothly aside from brief minor itching that faded quickly. Lately though things shifted after the first couple weeks the initial pin feels okay but roughly half a day later the irritation ramps up with noticeable welts and puffiness that keep growing and hit their worst around two days in. Bug bites trigger the exact same oversized itchy bumps for me unlike what happens to others around me. So far I've adjusted the bacteriostatic water amount without much change tried dividing the shot across separate body areas which made one spot slightly less bothersome but still problematic used common allergy pills that ease things temporarily let the prepared syringe warm up before use and applied topical relief creams yet the swelling and discomfort continue. My other current compounds show none of these injection site problems. Given my history with plant allergies and insect reactions producing comparable effects I'm considering blood work to check tryptase readings. Anyone else dealing with matching sensitivities found approaches that eased their symptoms such as certain mast cell stabilizers or short courses of corticosteroids.

This same thing occurred for me using that product. It looks to be a fairly typical reaction from those particular peptide groups. Roughly half the users seem affected, or so i guess.

From what I've noticed in similar posts, things seem pretty unpredictable, and I figure it relates to the temperature of the solution along with the gap after your workout. Do you change to a fresh syringe each time you inject?

Definitely. I always switch to a fresh syringe whenever I move to another injection site. Even after getting it warmed up beforehand, as I said earlier, I still end up with a nasty response. It's pretty harsh.

I wonder how intense your side effects turned out. After reading about what happened to others with similar compounds their issues seemed small next to what I went through. The spots where I injected puffed up to the size of big balls and it felt awful.

Yeah that spot looks way oversized to me. I could shift over to the fat around my lower back or the inside of my legs instead.

I pinned in the glut last night with 1/2 inch. I'll let you know how that turns out.

I wonder if others have noticed the same thing with this peptide. Shellfish is the only thing that bothers me allergy-wise. Hundreds of injections later just two minor reactions occurred. It seems to be evening out my immune response so things don't go haywire. My white blood cell numbers have been rising gradually from below normal and I'll stick with it until the end of the year. This compound adjusts immune activity which could control allergic responses through regulating certain pathways that cause symptoms. Its role in supporting immunity against ongoing illnesses and lowering swelling positions it as useful for conditions involving such reactions.

These compounds sometimes trigger severe allergic shocks in users. From the pattern it seems sensitivity is ramping up with repeated exposure.

We solved the whole thing after trying.

Applying the same method to my initial product worked out fine, so now I'll use it for the next one too. It's less severe than the main complaint but still irritating at times. A little unevenness appears as well. I had a feeling that particular needle size would be required once more.

I've noticed quite a few users in this discussion bringing up kpv when they mention immune system reactions.

I've not used this one in isolation before so I'm unsure about any standalone advantages. It seems to reduce swelling and support gut health. Similar to what you've seen I've come across favorable reports and right now I'm on a blend that provides me with half a milligram daily. I'm using every possible aid to recover after my shoulder operation. This immune agent is authorized in numerous nations and given to those battling tumors to strengthen their defenses. That's the reason I'm thinking about a twelve-month course as it may elevate my leukocyte levels. I've got a supply of the other peptide I'd like to try yet I question whether taking it without an active infection makes sense. I'll discuss it with my physician in the coming weeks.

I usually notice a quick histamine thing with a tiny lump plus itchiness near the spot yet that fades overnight. What I watch for are several lumps or puffiness indicating a serious issue. This one tends to irritate. When the reaction seems more histamine than allergic I add extra bac.

WryQuill58archiveApr 20

I went through the exact same thing across those three compounds. With the one I used over two separate three-month periods the effects faded after the opening thirty days in the opening round and then disappeared completely. I always inject into my sides. From what I went through if the issue stays mild it can fade away just like it did last time.

My sides around the waist gave me the biggest issue. That raised bump covered everything there and stuck around four days following the shot, and the irritation only ended the day before.

WryQuill58archiveApr 20

Man that four days sounds way too much! My own swelling only hung around for maybe an hour or two at most, although it might have lasted longer since I head to sleep immediately following the injection. Still the whole thing cleared up completely by this point. Taking some allergy medicine along with the injection helped me. There was a woman posting here who suffered a serious response from tesa landing her in the emergency room because of her allergy. Should it worsen I would consider other options. Which amount did you use? Did lowering the quantity improve things at all?
