Summary

What early effects does starting tirzepatide have on appetite, inflammation, pain, energy, and related conditions like NAFLD or gout?

Users report rapid loss of appetite, reduced inflammation and joint pain, calmer mood, and more energy within hours to days of the first 2.5 mg dose. Several note psoriasis improvement, gout attack prevention, and better blood sugar stability, though some experience returning symptoms as the dose wears off before the next injection. Side effects like acid reflux appear at higher doses but ease when lowered; one user had temporary liver-area pain checked at ER. Overall the group sees broad anti-inflammatory benefits beyond weight loss.

What this discussion establishesStill open

Whether the liver-area pain was caused by rapid fat processing or something else, and how long the anti-inflammatory effects last without ongoing dosing.

Nothing here is advice.

This is 24 hours after the first injection: I put 2.5 mg of mounjaro into my belly. Three hours later my appetite vanished but something bigger happened. The heart palpitations I normally get once or twice a day stopped. I expected a gout flare today but nothing so far. I feel energized, my mood is very calm, stress and inflammation feel lower, and that matters a lot to me. Since yesterday I have eaten two meals that together add up to less than half a normal meal. I still sense I should eat more but I am not hungry enough to actually do it. My doctor just hands out prescriptions and does not guide me on what to monitor, so any blood-work ideas are welcome.

Hey nice to have you aboard after choosing that route this should turn into quite the wild experience though remember to handle the substance carefully 😎

WarmAnchor46archiveJun 19

I see no reason to disagree. Time to enjoy complete wellness.

SharpAnchor92archiveJun 19

Without any existing health issues I haven't bothered with lab tests while on this medication. Still at my yearly checkup the numbers and readings have come back looking better than earlier ones. I focus on taking in lots of added fluids plus moist produce cut down on starches and increase protein along with roughage especially when bowel movements get sluggish since regular strolls then make a big difference too.

BrightSparrow36archiveJun 19

My old back troubles that stuck around for years cleared up fast after I began, whether heavy or slim, thanks to mounting young horses. The ongoing foot troubles from covering lots of ground daily also faded, no matter my size. It's been five months now with no sign of either returning. I'd stick with it long term just for the drop in swelling and related discomfort, even apart from shedding nearly fifty pounds.

Doing that much walking every single day strikes me as quite a lot. I figure extra substances besides the GLP meds must be helping out. Even half that distance already demands a huge effort on my part.

I heard a podcast the other day that talked about testing for TSH levels so now I'm considering whether I should get mine checked as well given that this is my first time doing so. Yet like what was pointed out previously it looks like I'm on the correct path and basically I just need to focus on eating properly while allowing the treatment to start working.

As someone who loves horses and puffed on cigarettes for years, I tend to stroll and wander around a lot πŸ˜‚ Back when I stayed in Texas near a trainer for those quick-turning equines, I'd head out each dawn covering about a mile to grab some java at the fuel stop, just for the heck of it. A local pointed out that around here, such movement on foot makes others suspect you lack shelter πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

This treatment brought me plenty of wellness gains beyond just curbing hunger. I focus on wholesome meals, keep up my fluids, and stay active when possible. Feeling good about heading down a better path.

I wish everyone success starting their Tirz path. I also support the ideas of drinking plenty of fluids, prioritizing protein, and adding fiber with berries plus nuts. Upon beginning my weight reduction, I realized having a dependable meal ready was essential. This became my blended shake using replacement powder along with berries, more protein, and fiber. My digestion kept going even as hunger signals faded away. A thyroid check helped explain my lack of energy, since low intake produces that effect too. Hair shedding happened to me but eventually stopped, though it felt disturbing at the time. For the test I requested the full panel including those markers to see if changes were short term and locate the cause. An online lab option prevented me from paying too much. I stayed in the community searching my issues and inquiring whenever things seemed unclear. Everyone ends up with their own set of stories.

Yeah, you're spot on. Already noticing changes in myself. When my partner got that takeout brought over I had to leave the area right away from the shock and revulsion. Who would have guessed I'd steer clear of fast food like this?

My hair has been thinning and I suspect the liver condition is leading to insulin problems that then produce an oily scalp. I've begun this medication for the liver issue aiming to clear it away even though my bloodwork for enzymes and cholesterol reads fine. Any drugs processed through the liver make those enzyme readings swing all over the place. I'm puzzled about what's occurring inside me at the moment and why the aches have quit so fast. Aches in my hands and feet are usual for me. A couple hours after eating lots of carbs I start trembling. I want to understand what has been going on with me for years.

I notice quite a few warning signs in what you've described. It's possible you're already aware of the situation here, but I want to make sure. Better to mention something unnecessary than overlook a real problem. Mind sharing your age, original weight, target weight, height, and any other health issues? Those frequent heart flutters worry me, especially if no one has looked into them yet. You'd want to find out what's causing them, maybe with a full day heart monitor. It might stem from stress or excess coffee, yet it could point to something cardiac. The discomfort in your extremities seems unusual too. Do you have an explanation for that, or has anyone examined it? What comes to mind for me is nerve issues in the senses from blood sugar problems or extra weight, which I deal with myself but just in my feet because of my size. I believe that ought to be looked into if not already. I take it they've screened you for diabetes already? Are you managing any gout with meds to keep acid down and avoid flare-ups? Apart from those points, it appears your initial reaction to the medication has been positive, and I hope things stay that way.

SteadyWillow69archiveJun 20

My blood sugar levels have been moving around in that warning area for five years now. The most recent reading came in at 5.8 after I reduced sugary items in my meals. Standing at six feet tall and weighing two hundred forty pounds, my main aim is clearing up the liver fat issue even if the scale doesn't change. Besides that I deal with skin and joint problems from psoriasis along with a fresh gout diagnosis. I skip any drugs for the psoriasis but use allopurinol during flare ups. To check things myself I added a bit of honey at various points to see how my body reacted. Morning turned out worst while nighttime worked better. All those signs like tremors hunger pangs swelling in limbs headaches that barely ease with pain pills plus flare ups around past hurts or skin spots have pretty much cleared up lately. My eating habits were poor for a while yet without any real options for the liver condition it made sense to enjoy a big burger instead of holding back when it felt like the end was near.

CopperSignal27archiveJun 20

I appreciate you getting back to me. This gout treatment is typically used every day over time to lower the amount of uric acid and stop flare ups from happening, not just when symptoms show up, with the dose changed depending on test results measuring the uric acid. That other medication prevents diabetes very well for those who have trouble with blood sugar control, which means it won't be a problem.

Glad you got going and the medication is already making a difference for you. I noticed a comparable feeling on my opening day though I assumed it was only placebo. For the tests you asked about, since none had been completed yet I chose to get a metabolic panel done along with A1c, fasting blood sugar and insulin, full cholesterol profile including LDL HDL and triglycerides, thyroid stimulating hormone, lipase or amylase, full blood count, B12 level, vitamin D and uric acid. In case low testosterone is a concern there are related checks for that and it made sense to include them too for someone like me.

The conclusion really moved me since I had identical thoughts half a year back. Sticking with the process brought noticeable body changes plus better mental sharpness. Enthusiasm returned and I started cherishing my renewed daily existence. Things improved for me personally. Hold onto that drive!

It's been nearly four days, or about 92 hours, since I got my initial shot, and the effects seem to be fading already. When I got up today, I wasn't experiencing any appetite, yet my muscles ache, the headaches have returned along with discomfort in my arms and legs, and I feel weighed down again. This takes me back to the time I used to lift weights regularly. Should I start exercising again to hold onto that sense of power, focus, and drive? I'm thinking I might need to dose once more soon.

I signed up for a fitness center and started heading there three times every week. That put me toward improved well-being overall. I quit stressing over every little thing and began appreciating the changes taking place.

CopperSignal27archiveJun 22

If you're considering using more of it earlier than planned, I think caution makes sense. I looked at some online charts showing how the amount builds in the bloodstream across days, which helped me picture the pattern. Regardless of the starting level, it keeps climbing for roughly a month before it plateaus, explaining the usual wait before any step up. The main issue with rushing that timeline is the chance of stronger reactions like queasiness, throwing up, loose bowels or blockages, which hit harder and faster when changes come too quick. Since I have no prior experience with this kind of medication, I'm just planning to stick with the standard interval myself.

I apologize for taking so long to get back here. When I first began this whole thing the opening two months or so brought their own set of hurdles too. Those hiccups never pushed me to stop though and now I'm thankful I stuck with it. Already feeling pretty low at the time I just kept going out of sheer stubbornness. Still there's a clear difference between toughing out ordinary discomfort and spotting a real health problem. I looked up plenty on the treatment myself so I could tell those apart and I paid close attention to how my body was reacting. I have no idea what your situation looks like but I'm pulling for you anyway. My hope is everything works out so later on you can share a good outcome with others and end up with less trouble and more satisfaction in daily life.

Your response has been the most positive one I've received yet and I've taken all the suggestions on board. On day six I had the next injection since the effects seemed to have faded and my system required more. Within two hours the sensations spread everywhere and after another sixty minutes all the discomfort had vanished completely. Starting two days back I've been checking my blood sugar levels myself each morning they're in the eighties and a couple hours post meal around the one forties which fits my earlier prediabetes diagnosis. I'll keep monitoring every day for the full thirty days on this treatment before bringing it up at my next appointment. It's now been sixteen days since beginning the shots my skin condition has improved more than at any point after getting the vaccine my vitality has returned making me feel youthful again and I'm able to rise quickly from lying down. However there's discomfort in the area under my right ribs so I'm waiting in the emergency room after receiving some pain relief medication mixed with other analgesics. The physician there inquired about the medication and its duration suggesting familiarity with it. I have no remorse for starting this because I brought it on by relishing the absence of hunger pangs and dropped from two hundred thirty seven pounds down to two twenty five over fifteen days.

SharpAnchor92archiveJun 27
↳ replying to @SteadyWillow69

It's good to hear you're getting that looked into. Though I experience comparable discomfort whenever I drop pounds through whatever method or when my abdominal organs reduce in size, causing my ribs to adjust accordingly. Sadly this happens once more if I swell again after a while.

Anything without a cost always grabs my attention right away. Glad the changes are working out so well for you. It looks like it lowers swelling a lot and that improves plenty of other things too. These GLP options have delivered strong results for me personally with lots of upsides. My partner saw a major drop in swelling and discomfort as well. Staying on this path has been a solid experience overall.

SteadyWillow69archiveAug 2

I've been using the medication for 57 days now and dropped 19 pounds overall. Began with 2.5 milligrams weekly across the first four weeks before moving up to 5 milligrams in week five. That change brought on heartburn plus tiredness. Even after three shots at the higher level those problems kept showing up especially in the days right after each injection. So I cut back to 4 milligrams and took my first one at the new amount yesterday. The issues have now cleared up while hunger stays well controlled. My BMI reading on the body scanner shifted from 33.3 down to 29.2. I've kept to nutritious meals though I went without food on several days across the past two weeks.

Wow, this slipping rib issue causes my ribs to click and shift quite often, leaving me really uneasy. Pressing firmly into anything sets off that jolt and noise. It's annoying. I'm looking into peptides that might help with loose connective tissues.

Curious about the way you reduced your amount. Wasn't expecting that since it seemed like you had the automatic device. Awesome results with the pounds dropping! At my sixth week now, and I just took 3 milligrams. Hoping to stay at a smaller amount to minimize any reactions, yet still drop some weight. Happy to see how well this is going for you.

SteadyWillow69archiveAug 4

I'm currently on a pen that has sixty increments, where each one delivers a quarter milligram. The packaging warns that these increments aren't accurate and one should only set it to the full sixty. Still, I'm using the click count to fine-tune how much I take.

A few pooled orders lately featured deadpool because of its special formula, though they appear finished for now. I believe one or maybe two still list cartalax. It's all fuzzy with the emojis. I might create deadpool on my own or incorporate it separately, especially with my ongoing klow. The quickest option could be a lone vial of cartalax, assuming no current availability from others.

BrightMeadow15archiveAug 5

Certain inherited disorders can produce connective tissue problems. Unclear if slipping rib syndrome signals anything here. I ordered three genetic test kits because three people in our home show signs. The aortic aneurysm turned up first in my teenage son. Scanning the rest of the family revealed two more cases. After speaking with my father we traced the origin. The type remains unknown so the testing expense counts as our gift to broader research. Other households might add details that clarify our results as well. I bring this up because the precise mutation can sometimes prove deadly through aortic aneurysm. Not every variant carries that risk. Having the facts gives an edge and without a full view it may make sense to investigate further. On a positive note my teenage daughter and I have stayed steady while my father has remained stable across many years. My teenage son has adjusted to his condition which is now barely noticeable. The information has really helped sort out several other health matters and stands as a valuable discovery.
