I wonder if this effect is more common among women. Men tend to be the loudest in denying it is possible. It seems hard for some to accept experiences they have not had themselves.

I recognize that strict calories in calories out has limits. Accurately measuring intake and adjusting for changing metabolic rate are both difficult. I do not see a need to bring gender into it. Lilly studies still targeted lower calories for loss. Whether individual metabolism can be precisely calculated remains debated, but eating above needs will cause gain.

I see comments like that often, people on the top dose for months with no loss. It is puzzling. They wonder about stacking. That usually leads to debates about tolerance or honesty about intake. The truth is we do not fully understand these medications. Sometimes the top dose mainly maintains rather than reduces further. Adjusting based on a single day of data has never helped me much.

If you have to deliberately count and restrict calories for a long time while on these drugs then they are not working well for you. Voluntary restriction is hard to sustain and turns it back into a regular diet with poor long term results. The medications are meant to reduce appetite naturally so you eat less without constant effort. If that effect is missing even at decent doses then you may be among the small group that responds poorly.

That matches my situation. I eat what I want and have not counted calories for over a year. Ice cream, chorizo and eggs, steak, nothing is off limits. I focus on protein and fiber and am not gaining. If you are gaining you should check your intake.

I must be the exception. I still have to work hard. Tirz reduces the noise but loss remains slow.

Do not misunderstand. When I wanted to lose I counted and walked. Once at goal I switched to maintenance mode with fifteen milligrams weekly and that is enough to prevent gain. I get full faster and avoid overeating because it would upset my stomach. Earlier I used intermittent fasting, twelve hundred calories, ten thousand steps, plus protein fiber and electrolyte targets. That produced twenty seven percent loss in seven months. I could not have done it without tirz and I recognize others respond differently.
