Started reta after getting up to 15 mg tirz, curious about a couple of things

Summary

How to switch from high-dose tirzepatide to retatrutide, what target dose to use, and whether to keep stacking tirzepatide for appetite control while on TRT and lifting weights

Users report moving from 15 mg tirzepatide directly to low doses of reta (2 mg then 5 mg) and seeing appetite return. Some keep a reduced tirzepatide dose alongside rising reta for several months before dropping tirzepatide entirely. One person broke a long stall this way and lost 9 kg over three months. TRT plus lifting can add water and muscle weight that masks fat loss on the scale.

Whether to keep any tirzepatide once on reta or to run reta alone

What final reta dose delivers adequate appetite control and continued fat loss for someone previously at 15 mg tirzepatide

Started with 2 mg reta after a couple months at 15 mg tirzepatide where the effects seemed to be fading. Raised it to 5 mg reta this week. Main questions are what dose to aim for with reta since nothing is felt yet, and whether to keep using tirzepatide for hunger control because appetite has returned strongly. If stopping tirzepatide, what to add with reta instead to keep losing weight. Also on TRT and lifting to add muscle while dropping fat.

Tirzepatide usually suppresses appetite more strongly than reta at the same milligram amount. Did the switch go straight from 15 mg tirz down to 2 mg then 5 mg reta? That would explain the hunger returning. Even at 12 mg reta the appetite control is often not as strong. What exactly counted as diminishing effects on the 15 mg tirz that prompted the change? Was hunger still managed but weight stopped moving? How long did the stall last? How careful is the calorie tracking right now?

Went straight from 15 mg tirz to 2 mg reta then raised reta to 5 mg. Also added 5 mg tirz this week to test whether it would restore appetite control. The diminished effects were that hunger suppression stopped working and weight stayed the same for a couple months after the first twenty pounds came off quickly.

Hit a stall after two months at 15 mg tirzepatide and started adding reta while still using tirzepatide. Month one was 2 mg reta with 10 mg tirz. Month two 4 mg reta with 7.5 mg tirz. Month three 6 mg reta with 5 mg tirz. Now at month four using 6 mg reta alone. Recent start on TRT could be causing water retention and muscle gains that hide fat loss on the scale. Eating a bit more can be useful if the goal is building muscle.

Started TRT in July. Could be adding muscle weight since lifts have gone up a lot with regular training over the last couple months.

Not on TRT personally but a friend who began it and added creatine gained about twenty pounds in a month. Probably not worth worrying about yet. Taking body measurements is a better way to track real progress than the scale alone.

Began after a six-month stall on 15 mg tirz. First month used 12.5 mg tirz plus 2.5 mg reta. Then lowered tirz and raised reta. Now at 7 mg reta and 7.5 mg tirz each week. Lost 9 kg over three months and the stall is over.
