I've reached a normal weight now. My BMI is 24.93 so I should skip a big lunch, but I'm finally not overweight! To mark the occasion, I'm playing all the embarrassing tracks on Just Dance for PS5.
Reaching normal BMI after a long weight loss journey
How long did it take to reach normal BMI after stalling on tirz and adding reta to the stack?
One user reached a BMI of 24.93 after nearly 14 months total, starting on tirz then adding reta about 7 months ago once progress stalled while still class 1 obese. Steady loss resumed at 6 mg reta roughly 5 months ago, moving from 40 lb to 20 lb from goal. Another user is 2 years in with 29% loss, has 30-40 lb remaining, recently began adding reta while lowering tirz, and reports very slow progress so far after 2 weeks at 2.5 mg.
What this discussion establishes- BMI 24.93 achieved after 14 months with tirz then reta stack
- Stall broken once reta reached 6 mg about 5 months ago
- HRT for perimenopause used alongside the peptides
- Goal is middle of healthy BMI range for buffer against weight-related medical assumptions
- Second user 2 years in, 29% lost, still 30-40 lb to go and titrating reta slowly
Whether adding reta will meaningfully speed up loss for the second user who is only 2 weeks in
Nothing here is advice.
That's goals! Well done! Mind if I ask how long it took and how long you've been using the tirz/reta combination? I've been at this for 2 years, lost 29 percent, but still need to drop 30-40 pounds. I recently started Reta and am lowering my tirz dose after 18 months at the highest level. Hoping the Reta addition will get me across the finish line.
I've been pursuing this for close to fourteen months at this point. Began with tirzepatide and found it effective initially. Progress halted while still in the obese category of class one, prompting me to incorporate retatrutide gradually and tweak the tirzepatide dosage starting roughly seven months back. Looking back, ramping up the retatrutide quicker might have been possible, yet concerns about side effects interfering with my job held me back. Consistent reduction only picked up once reaching six milligrams around five months prior. Hormone replacement therapy for perimenopause is part of my regimen, begun well ahead of the tirzepatide, and no additional peptides are involved. At the time retatrutide was introduced, forty pounds separated me from target. Reduction has slowed once more, leaving twenty pounds remaining. My target sits at the midpoint of the healthy range based on height. The exact figure isn't crucial to me, but having some margin away from overweight territory would prevent physicians from attributing all problems to body weight. Wishing you success throughout. Totally get what you're saying. My body mass index sits slightly below thirty at the moment and that feels good yet reaching the standard range remains the goal for matching motives. I also began hormone treatment about a year ago. Grateful you mentioned how things went for you. Shedding pounds happens at an extremely gradual pace these days along with multiple extended plateaus that lasted many months each. Hoping inclusion of this extra compound in my current mix will provide some help although little difference shows up yet. It has only been a couple weeks since starting at the low dose level. Making an effort to stay patient without raising the amount rapidly.
Amazing news! Good job and congrats! Nothing beats marking it with a workout lol
Congratulations!
