Planning to follow along with this discussion. Skipping the dilution step with that additive means each container gives me nearly a month of use, which lines up exactly where the safety guidelines recommend. Grateful for the post!
After I ended up with a mixed order that had equal amounts of ordinary bacteriostatic water and its saline counterpart, I've looked into which things work okay when mixed using saline bacteriostatic solution. I noticed the dates but missed the label detail. The saline version has about point nine percent alcohol in salt water rather than plain water. From what I've seen in different places, here are some that seem fine and some that don't when using the saline mix. Note that maker differences might change how it goes. Things that worked for people: GHK-Cu, SS-31, MOTS-C, Tirz which many have tried this way, Sema, Glutathione, Tox. Ones that didn't: Reta which is a big problem, Tesa, CJC, Ipa, and Tirz or Sema if they have too much leftover acid from making. Reasons some try the saline version anyway: For sensitive ones, the regular kind can pull water into cells causing puffiness and hurt, but saline matches body salt levels so less of that. Also it's less expensive usually. And if the normal kind isn't around, this can work for certain items. Or like me, you got the wrong one by accident. I tried making a nose spray with a modified Semax version and it seemed fine but I'm not sure enough to add it to the good list. The main point here is I want to find out more about what else goes well with this saline mix from others' tries. Which other items worked or caused cloudiness or gelling when you used it?
