After a couple of delays, I’m finally starting my first week of tirz tomorrow.

Summary

Personal experiences starting tirzepatide for weight loss and reasons for choosing it over retatrutide or semaglutide

The original poster describes delays from illness before beginning tirz as an 80-100 lb overweight male, hoping it ends years of yo-yo dieting. Others report strong appetite suppression and steady loss on low doses, with one switching to reta for added energy and glucagon effects. Choices between the drugs stem from friends' results or beliefs about dual versus triple agonists, and early side effects like constipation are noted.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

Whether tirz or reta is preferable, based on appetite suppression strength versus the potential benefits of glucagon activity

I was set to begin a few weeks back but caught norovirus followed by Covid. It's been tough lately. As a guy carrying 80 to 100 extra pounds, I'm counting on this to aid my weight loss and health goals. Looking forward to finally dropping the weight steadily instead of fluctuating by 40 pounds repeatedly. After 15 years of the same struggle, I'm worn out. Everyone here has been so supportive, and I hope to help others someday too. I'll update on how it goes!

Tirz has been amazing for me as a sixty year old guy standing six feet tall. My starting weight sat at two hundred one pounds and fell to one hundred seventy one after three months at the two point five dose. Near the finish the scale slowed because almost no fat was left anyway. The whole run felt solid. Severe constipation struck in week two then came a full day of nonstop diarrhea. Rapid drops followed right after that. I located foods that reliably get things moving again when backed up. Moving to reta let me test if the glucagon action could push body fat below fifteen percent. Energy went up while hunger control eased off yet the glucagon keeps working hard.

I'd like to know how you arrived at selecting Tirz ahead of Reta and Sema. Between the pair, my decision favored Reta on account of it functioning as an agonist for three things unlike the double version.

A person I know experienced positive outcomes while using Tirzepatide, which drew me to that option. Others have mentioned to me that Reta doesn't curb appetite quite as effectively as tirz does. Eventually, I could give Reta a shot.

I'm excited to begin this path myself soon. Wishing your experience turns out positively.

Things are going well so far. I've nearly completed the first week. Meals leave me satisfied much sooner these days. There's also a small drop in constant cravings.

I picked that option due to comparable motivations. A close pal who works in healthcare as a nurse suggested it provides superior management over appetite signals. That person experienced excellent outcomes, leading me to take the same route. Up to now, things have turned out really well in my case. Hoping things go smoothly for you when beginning this journey.
