Maybe I'm overthinking this or still new to it, but when do these GLP-1 drugs stop being a helpful tool and start acting more like a crutch? I haven't gone anywhere near 20 milligrams a week so I can't really speak to that. Even 3 milligrams feels high to me personally. Still, I'm here to learn, so can you share what your eating and training look like? Are those areas already solid and you're still needing more medication? A lot of folks used to say they couldn't lose weight even in a calorie deficit, and these drugs have shown that's partly true because they fix several underlying issues. At those high numbers though, your body should already be getting the GLP-1 benefits, so are there other life changes worth trying before going past the doses tested in trials?
I'm currently using around 12 milligrams weekly of reta along with 3 milligrams of cagri, though the actual amounts might be a bit lower because of overfill in the vials. My weight loss has slowed down to about 0.18 pounds per day as I get closer to a normal BMI, down from 0.24. I'm thinking about going up to roughly 15 milligrams of reta and 4 of cagri since previous increases have helped. I've seen mentions of people using 20 milligrams of reta weekly and wonder if anyone has details on that or higher amounts than 12.
