GLP‑1 Update: Apparently I’ve Unlocked ‘Wrap‑Around Arms’ Mode

7 replies6 peopleMar 14, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

What odd new body changes or flexibility gains show up after GLP-1 weight loss?

Users describe being able to reach farther around their own torso and cross their legs more easily once their body shrinks. These changes appear gradually and are noticed during everyday actions like scratching an itch or sitting. Some find the shifts surprising or amusing while others note limits from prior injuries or feel motivated to continue losing weight.

This morning while brushing my teeth I reached around with the other hand to scratch an itch and went way too far, ending up patting the middle of my own back. My arms did not suddenly get longer, so it must be that my chest has gotten smaller and now lets me twist around myself like a pretzel. At this pace I could soon scratch between my shoulder blades without any trouble. These meds are meant for appetite control but they also bring these strange flexibility changes. Has anyone else noticed new body tricks lately?

I have not seen any special abilities so far, but I get the feeling my body is quietly changing on its own. If I ever gain the ability to scratch between my shoulder blades with no effort at all, I will take that as proof the medication update has finished installing.

The scale dropping slowly does not surprise me because I expect that. What catches me off guard are the small things, like having to tuck my thick overshirt into my pants just to keep them from falling. Warning, too much detail: sitting on the toilet in the morning I feel like I might fall in because my rear has gotten smaller. I now wear t-shirts under an overshirt both to fill it out and because I feel cold. Another change is when I go to cross my leg it swings all the way over to the other side like a fancy lady, and I am a robust dude.

A robust dude suddenly being able to do the fancy-lady leg cross is the best medication superpower I have heard about so far.

Those successes turned out genuine after all! Well done!

Absolutely! My legs fold under me comfortably now while relaxing in an outdoor seat. Quite a while has passed since I enjoyed that degree of suppleness, let alone feeling at ease within such limited room.

I wish I could reach around the same way with my right arm, but a reverse shoulder replacement stops that from happening. I can still do it with my left though.

Seeing your success with dropping the pounds has really got me motivated to shed another ten myself.
