I'm wrapping up my compounded version and getting ready to order the gray stuff. I still have three vials of the compounded product with dates into early 2027. I'm trying to decide between the 30 mg and 60 mg sizes while I'm at 4.5 mg and increasing slowly. I've looked into the size debate but nothing conclusive turned up. A 60 mg vial would sit longer than a 30 mg one, though I could split the larger one into two 30 mg vials after filtering. What BUD should I expect from the gray product? I'm mainly interested in how long reconstituted material stays usable in the fridge. Any thoughts on the size choice?

I'm not convinced we can say most vials lack sterility. We simply haven't run enough tests to make that claim. A few recent batches failed, but that doesn't prove the majority have bacteria. I've seen COAs showing passed sterility on kits I've bought. Filtering seems to be the default because testing isn't common. Are you certain that lab comment was accurate? Reconstituting with sterile water and keeping it 28 days doesn't sound right to me. I never use sterile water anyway.

Then put it this way: once you push air from the room into the vial they're no longer sterile. Still, the point stands that some vials are sterile and maybe even most. The majority of users skip filtering and don't end up with serious infections, and plenty have used vials that weren't sterile. Here's a video from that person.

No single right answer exists for fridge life. It comes down to how much risk you're willing to accept. As long as the liquid stays clear with no particles you should be fine past 60 days when using good bacteriostatic water and keeping the vial cold. On the vial sizes, since your dose is still low, why not get some of each? Use the smaller ones while increasing and switch to the larger ones later.

I figured it was some new peptide I hadn't heard of. A stubborn GLP-1 that eventually works when it feels like it. Unpredictable half-life, complicated action, and the main side effect is mild irritability in the peptide itself.

Ordering several kits at once is smart. I wish I'd done more of that early on. My last two purchases were six kits of one and five of another.

Yeah that's the person. In some places bacteriostatic water is hard to find. I'd want something from an official standard like USP before using sterile water for reconstitution, let alone storing the vial 28 days. That's just my view.

That's reasonable. Still, if you planned to finish the vial in three to five days I don't see why sterile water would be a problem.

That's a separate situation. The original question was about keeping an open vial for an extended period. I'd have no issue using sterile water if the vial would be finished in that short window. Two different scenarios.

Got it, I misread the earlier line. All this sterile-water talk makes me want to grab some for vials I'll finish in a week. It's possible the lab comment was outside that person's usual area. I've heard of people injecting IV with tap water run through a cigarette filter, so I'm not overly concerned about infections from these products. If something happens I'll just get antibiotics and report back here.

Step one, make your own bacteriostatic water for pennies per milliliter. Step two, pour 95 percent down the drain. Step three, laugh at all the bacteriostatic drama.
