Being Irish I expected booze to come up. My own background includes a strong drinking culture, and when I visit Dublin I enjoy the social side, music and atmosphere more than heavy drinking. Alcohol became my own guilty pleasure on these meds. For the first six to eight months the taste was gone, but it has come back enough that I can have a glass or two of wine or some whiskey on the rocks or with water to avoid extra calories. It still offers no nutritional benefit that I know of.
A recent diet thread on these meds made me start this one. On keto my cravings stayed strong even though I stayed strict, so I allowed occasional takeout like a double doner with vegetables and sauce but no fries. The greasier and more processed it was, the better it felt. On the current medication that urge has vanished completely and meals feel like a routine task instead of something enjoyable. The one small exception is a 30 g bag of popcorn a couple times a week when I feel like snacking; it satisfies the urge without leading to more. Anyone else still have a minor treat they allow themselves?
