Tirzepatide vs Retatrutide: Battle Royale!

19 replies14 peopleJun 4, 2026β˜† Follow
Summary

How do tirzepatide and retatrutide compare for appetite suppression, food noise, weight loss, side effects like sleep issues, and is stacking them worthwhile?

Users share personal experiences with both peptides, noting that retatrutide often feels stronger overall for weight loss while tirzepatide provides stronger appetite control for some. Many report positive results from combining the two at moderate doses, though sleep disruption appears in a subset of users on either or both. Blood markers improved more noticeably on retatrutide for one participant, and individual responses vary widely.

Research points to reta producing stronger weight loss numbers, yet I want finer details on how each handles hunger, cravings, and related effects. Let's compare them directly. 🀣

We had a similar discussion recently started by someone who never tried reta themselves. Both compounds work well, though reta seems stronger overall to me.

Show off. 🀣 I'm only on reta and it delivers, I've lost 45lbs so far. Just took my fourth 8mg shot in the morning.

I've used 2mg reta along with 4mg twice weekly and prefer that mix over either alone.

I'm also stacking them, holding at 6mg tirz with 7mg reta and enjoying the results.

Anyone taking ADHD medication along with reta, and how has heart rate been affected?

NorthSparrow39archiveJun 5

Tirz worked great for six months. Adding 2mg reta on top of my current 5mg tirz dose has improved regularity dramatically. Highly recommend.

BlueKettle36archiveJun 5

Started reta three weeks ago and increasing slowly. Tirz never produced weight loss for me and caused cortisol spikes that woke me at 2-3 am nightly. Seems I'm one of the few who get persistent sleep problems. So far reta hasn't triggered the same issue, but still watching.

PatientMeadow16archiveJun 5

Tirz is great, no question. I've added reta to it and am currently at 7mg tirz plus 2mg reta. Considering lowering tirz while raising reta, but I still really like tirz. Good luck everyone.

Reta has had me waking earlier for six weeks now. Hope your experience differs. The past couple days I got up without resistance even though I didn't feel like it. Before these peptides I used to drag myself out of bed. Everyone reacts differently and I'm still figuring out my own pattern while noting what others report.

It can get worse. Mine began at 6mg and continues at 8mg. I wake around 1 am and then sleep lightly until getting up at 5 am. I go to bed around 8:30 and usually fall asleep within half an hour. Ended up needing a nap around 2 pm today.

I sometimes try to nap during lunch at work. I'm fatigued yet unable to sleep. My dose is much lower than yours. Hoping that once enough weight comes off the tiredness will ease. Still wondering how I reached this point and paying for earlier habits, but I expect progress with time, effort, and these compounds.

No need to pit them against each other when they can work together. Reta on day one then tirz three days later helps smooth out the later part of the week.

Really now? That applies to me also. So it seems we have a similarity. Makes you wonder.

Absolutely! That's how things ought to be handled.

AmberSparrow73archiveJun 7

Note that I'm not a doctor. I view both as metabolic agents rather than weight loss drugs. I've tried each separately up to 1.5 mg per week. Tirz gave me stronger appetite control, yet reta produced slightly better shifts in the lab values I track most (A1C, cholesterol panels, triglycerides). Both reduced subcutaneous and visceral fat plus blood pressure. Now on a 1 mg weekly maintenance dose and considering dropping to 0.5 mg. I like both a lot.
