A quick quip from that series! There's a narrow distinction when it comes to hijacking another member's discussion about a comparable problem versus launching a separate one on the identical or almost identical subject. Both options suit me fine. Every so often a brand new thread on an issue pulls in extra folks, further input, different angles, and shared brainstorming. It can end up genuinely helpful. You folks across the pond with that pesky sterile solution, right... (Only joking! Everyone gets how challenging it stays!)
Hello everyone. Not singling anyone out, but has anyone else seen more duplicate or very similar threads lately? New threads are fine for keeping the place active, yet lately people seem to open fresh ones on the same subject instead of staying in their first post. Questions also pop up that could be handled fast by searching or glancing at older threads. A short reminder after hitting New Thread, such as 'Have you tried the search first?', might help. The 'Is this already being discussed?' box shows related threads but people either miss it or skip reading it. I didn't even search properly before posting this myself.
