Solid work so far. After dropping twenty-seven percent and hitting goal I didn't realize my shirts were too big until someone pointed out I looked like I was swimming in them. Seeing yourself every day makes the shifts harder to catch. What stood out instead was not feeling awful after extra pasta servings, skipping the afternoon crash, and walking feeling easier. The visual difference finally clicked when I compared old pictures from before I started. A measuring tape can help track it too. Just keep going and the new version will show up.
For people who started with a big amount to drop, did it ever feel like forever before any visible change showed up? I'm five months in, fifty-four pounds lighter, yet I still can't spot much difference in myself. Because I began with roughly one hundred sixty-five pounds to shed, maybe that's normal when the total is that high. I keep wondering if folks aiming for only fifty or eighty pounds see results sooner. It's strange that all my clothes still fit the same, my rings haven't gotten dramatically loose, and the mirror shows basically the same reflection. I'm lifting, staying in a calorie deficit, hitting protein goals, and keeping carbs down, but recomp isn't obvious either. Losing over fifty pounds should look like more!
