Hey folks, I checked the threads but didn't see anything matching this, so my apologies if it came up earlier. I also suspect upfront that the whole thing might sound pretty foolish, but I'm going ahead with it anyway. There's a container holding Tirz that still needs mixing, and dividing the mixed liquid evenly across two other containers is what I'd like to try. Could that be done while preserving cleanliness and quality? Thoughts on keeping things sterile during the steps or anything related would help me out. Appreciate it! 🫢

I obtained some sealed sterile bottles. I mixed it the standard way and moved half of it over to a brand new sterile bottle.

Sure it's doable. Sterile vials are easy to find at shops or through web sellers. After mixing everything in the first container I draw out half the solution and move it into a separate clean one. This is something I handle often since I split the batch with my sister and store her portion in a different container.

By the way this might stray from the main thread yet trying out these compounds has improved talks between my spouse and me. She manages a laboratory while my job is with charitable organizations. We seldom discuss things such as whether I understand the term for dividing samples and the answer is obviously yes. Or requesting those tiny membrane filters that are sterile and single-use to which I reply that I handle them daily. I agree that's smart because any slow buildup of contaminants won't ruin everything at once. This is my routine since there's usually no checking for bugs in these. In the past my approach was to work with a dose measuring one hundred twenty milligrams of tirz. Pen style cartridges came into play as I would freeze a single example.

I've always thought about trying to freeze some cartridges. Has anyone pulled that off without problems? I've set aside a couple of already-used ones to experiment with how the empty space inside changes things. I'm a little uneasy that the stopper could slide backward, come loose all the way, or pick up some dirt while crossing an unclean spot. It might still work if the stopper stays dry and only shifts a short distance, keeping any fluid from getting pulled in through small channels.

With a venting needle inserted that stopper stays completely still. On the other hand movement is acceptable if you keep an eye on it while the stopper edges toward the cartridge mouth... I found out through experience.

I follow this approach with the cartridges because using more liquid makes the injection hurt less. First I reconstitute everything with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water. Next I transfer half a milliliter of that mixture through a filter into each of two cartridges before bringing the volume up to 3 mL with additional bacteriostatic water in each one. When it comes to cleanliness I rely on a still air enclosure intended for mushroom spore work. That might seem excessive however cleaning the containers and surfaces thoroughly while making sure not to contact the stoppers with my hands after cleaning keeps everything sterile enough in my experience.
