30ml BAC water

9 replies7 peopleMar 31, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

How long is a punctured 30ml BAC water vial safe to reuse for monthly reconstitutions?

Users agree the vial can be entered multiple times but differ on total lifespan after first puncture. Most treat one month as the conservative limit with refrigeration and alcohol wipes, while several report using the same bottle for two to three months or even up to a year with no visible problems. Smaller 3ml or 10ml vials are mentioned as an alternative when starting low doses.

As a beginner I'm trying to figure out if a 30ml bottle of BAC water, when I only reconstitute once a month, has to be discarded after a month because the syringe has gone into it. I know the usual guideline is about four weeks. Or can the same bottle be entered repeatedly? Mainly wondering whether the larger size is worth getting instead of 10ml or smaller.

People seem to disagree quite a bit here. For my own routine the most cautious route is sticking to the thirty milliliter size of that water, though I have no idea how hard it might be to find in the UK. Another careful habit is tossing the vial a month after the first time it gets opened. I keep mine chilled and try not to go past that window. Even so plenty of folks stretch it further whenever the liquid stays clear and shows no sign of anything wrong. Since it is simple to replace where I live I just get a fresh one once the month is up. Some others who stay extra tidy report using theirs for two or three months without trouble. I forget the exact name but if you look through older threads there is supposedly a gadget that lets the vial stay usable longer.

I realize I didn't directly answer the question. Yes, the same vial can be used multiple times inside the recommended window. Just wipe the stopper with an alcohol pad before and after every draw and keep things as sterile as possible during the process.

What I'm really asking is whether I need fresh BAC water every time I start a new vial that I'll transfer into a pen lasting a month. Sounds like yes, since the 30ml is only considered good for a month, or maybe two to three months if taking the risk. Thanks for the info.

I could manage three months without any trouble myself.

I've used a 30ml bottle over the better part of a year with no problems. Not telling anyone else to do it, just sharing one experience.

Agreed. The one-month figure is very cautious and also helps sell more product. I'm going through a vial every two months with several people drawing from it, but I'd be fine going longer. Just use whatever length feels comfortable and keep up good sterile technique.

I went with 3ml bottles along with my kit. That gave me ten small vials of BAC water. My dose starts low at .5 and will increase slowly, so the first vial should last at least six weeks. The water itself is inexpensive anyway.

Exactly. It's no different from items in the fridge. Ketchup and similar products often stay fine well past the printed date.

I throw mine out after three months. It might still be okay, but it's cheap enough to replace.
