Glutathione IM vs SubQ Injections Dosing Pain Management and Effects

122 replies39 peopleJul 1, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

how to administer glutathione via IM or subQ with minimal discomfort, what dosing works, and what benefits or protocols to follow

Users compare IM and subQ routes and find pain drops with correct vastus lateralis or ventrogluteal placement, muscle relaxation, post-shot rubbing, dilution, needle choice, and optional lidocaine. Reported effects include skin brightening, quicker recovery, and normalized liver enzymes while using MT-1. Dosing spans 100-200 mg several times weekly down to daily maintenance, with some shifting to 300 mg and mixing vitamin C or KPV in one syringe. Reconstitution guidance includes 6 ml BAC for a 1200 mg vial for subQ use, though GHK stings more and lumps can form.

Hey everyone, what kind of results have you seen from glutathione? How much have you taken each time? Would really like to know your thoughts and stories.

SharpThistle60archiveJul 1

Tried using the product over time, yet nothing obvious happened that I could spot. Maybe some updates took place, but they went right past me without any detection. Probably won't be getting another one.

LevelMarble91archiveJul 1

For a while now I've taken it sporadically. My usual amount is a hundred milligrams injected into the muscle. It seems to me that using it after exercise gives the best results in terms of helping me recover faster. On those really tough training sessions I make sure to take it. Other than that improvement in recovery I haven't seen much else. I have some of the Korean version on the way and intend to experiment with two hundred milligram amounts after receiving it.

GreenBeacon40archiveJul 1

It only seems to kick in for me when I do a muscle injection following an evening of alcohol. In those cases the next morning feels completely fine with no real issues.

Until recently glutathione never sparked any interest for me. What frequency and quantity do you consume it in and what age range would you fall into roughly? Also wondering whether any glps studies are happening on your end these days.

PatientFenwick91archiveJul 1

This substance ranks as my top choice overall. Each injection delivers two hundred milligrams and I get anxious whenever I consider ending the cycle since continuing indefinitely appeals to me most. Nothing else has improved my vitality or day to day comfort as much as this one has.

PlainTimber26archiveJul 1
↳ replying to @PatientFenwick91

I placed an order for this without first checking that the injection goes into the muscle rather than under the skin. Handling that shot on my own body feels too scary.

SteadyAnchor73archiveJul 1
↳ replying to @PlainTimber26

It functions when injected under the skin. This substance serves as a powerful free radical fighter and benefits health regardless of noticeable effects. Similar to your situation, I've avoided intramuscular injections up to this point. A buddy mentioned that the impact differs unless administered directly into muscle tissue.

ClearKettle55archiveJul 1

I went ahead and bought NAC plus glycine as pills because I want my body to generate it on its own. A shot sounds appealing too but for now I'm starting with these instead.

PatientFenwick91archiveJul 1

It aligns with what I know about these supplements providing the raw materials for the body to produce its own glutathione, though the sensation differs from getting it straight. Shots deliver a quicker surge that one notices right away, including me. The other way builds it up slowly over time. I see them as separate methods: one supplies it directly with varying levels of how well it works depending on the route like through a vein being strongest then muscle or under skin then special oral forms then regular pills, versus helping the body make more using those starters. Beginning with the precursors seems sensible to me, even if the effects build gradually and aren't as noticeable at first. For myself, the muscle injections work best once I'm accustomed to doing them, giving that immediate lift.

ClearKettle55archiveJul 1
↳ replying to @PatientFenwick91

In both cases the body ends up making it on its own because cells cannot absorb the complete molecule. This holds true regardless of the approach. An injection breaks down after just a few minutes and there is no certainty about whether repeated use might reduce the system's own output eventually.

RustPebble43archiveJul 1

Gave the whole thing a try but the burning was intense. Barely got point two milliliters in and then removed it quickly. The pain hit hard like an electric jolt. Wasn't prepared for pain at that level so now wondering about giving it another go.

SharpCinder28archiveJul 1
↳ replying to @RustPebble43

I find that the version from Korea comes packaged in bigger containers, which lets me mix it with more liquid. Sometimes I just put it into a shot with bacteriostatic water or salt solution. Still, reactions at the injection spot happen to me, which is why I go for muscle injections instead.

PatientFenwick91archiveJul 1
↳ replying to @ClearKettle55

People notice varying results between direct injections and the building-block supplements. The precursors supply materials for the body to produce its own stores over time. Direct administration delivers the compound right away, allowing it to participate in the oxidation-reduction process without delay. It neutralizes reactive species, shifts to the oxidized state, then gets restored. That quick involvement in the cycle stands out as the main distinction, which seems to explain the sensations reported by users including me. Building from precursors requires an extra step, leading to slower changes. Even though the injected form doesn't last long in the system and cells might not take it up intact, a brief presence can still trigger lasting responses, much like growth hormone does. The same gradual aspect applies to taking precursors by mouth, since they aren't instantly turned into the active intracellular form either. Concerns about reduced internal production from ongoing use get mentioned sometimes, like with other external substances, yet solid proof for this happening with glutathione remains absent. Many opt to use it in cycles instead of nonstop, which might ease worries about any extended impact on natural levels.

NorthLantern81archiveJul 1

Appreciate all the useful replies here. I used to believe it could only be given through injections under the skin. My doubts never go away. Starting in August I'm going to test out 200 milligrams each day. This makes me wonder how it will go.

WarmCompass44archiveJul 1

I began with muscle injections three times weekly at 250 milligrams each. Now I'm using 300 milligrams on alternate days instead. My plan is to continue this schedule across twenty weeks in total. My skin looks clearer lately. The liver enzyme readings for ALT and AST have gotten better as well.

BlueFenwick13archiveJul 2

Gave that supplement a single try and figured once was plenty. Shot it under the skin on my leg and the soreness dragged on for two days while it burned intensely and left a massive mark. No interest in repeating the experience.

SteadyAlder49archiveJul 2

I inject 250 milligrams under the skin three times each week as a fixed element in my ongoing regimen that I intend to maintain without end. To my mind it belongs in any long term approach whenever other compounds that strain the liver or kidneys enter the picture. I pair it with generous amounts of vitamin c, vitamin e, and nac. My blood results stay normal on liver and kidney markers even while I continue exploring performance compounds. The numbers confirm its value. I cannot grasp why some assume an item must produce noticeable sensations before counting as useful. No one senses enzymes returning to range or reduced cellular oxidation on the organs. This is not something meant for immediate sensations but rather for extended protection of key tissues and overall cellular integrity.

ClearMeadow73archiveJul 2

Injecting two hundred milligrams into muscle three times weekly on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays while rotating sites from the upper hip area down to the legs. Seven days remain before completing the opening six-week stretch and the clearest shift I've seen involves my complexion appearing far more radiant. Other outcomes remain tough to measure. I also keep up with vitamins C and E after learning they heighten the helpful aspects of this substance.

LevelTimber64archiveJul 2

Appreciate you sharing all those details. Experimenting with this has crossed my mind often. I've seen suggestions about portioning it out together with VitC and lido so it's less harsh. GTB could also reduce the kick I think. One day soon I may do it. For now I'm halfway along in taking NR and NMN by mouth each day.

ClearMeadow73archiveJul 2
↳ replying to @LevelTimber64

I currently use the Korean version of gtt at 1200mg strength. This gets blended together with 3ml bac and also 3ml vit c. My schedule involves 1ml three times weekly so that one vial extends for two weeks.

LevelTimber64archiveJul 2

Thanks for this, Are you IM or SQ?

SteadyAlder49archiveJul 2
↳ replying to @LevelTimber64

Trying out a small amount of numbing agent while mixing cut down on the soreness afterward by quite a bit. Then this new batch arrived and it works amazingly well. I don't notice a thing. My normal approach is to inject just under the skin around the hip or glute area.

LevelTimber64archiveJul 2
↳ replying to @SteadyAlder49

Wow that must be strong what dosage level do you have going and have you started a cycle too

ClearMeadow73archiveJul 2
↳ replying to @LevelTimber64

I felt scared trying the under-skin shot because of the sting. Building courage for the muscle route took some real effort from me. I checked out several clips ahead of time to feel ready. Muscle seemed like the way to go instead of under-skin, haha. Adding vitamin C makes the solution thicker too.

SteadyAlder49archiveJul 2
↳ replying to @LevelTimber64

Three times weekly I take two hundred fifty milligrams. Cycling isn't part of my approach. It stays included in my fixed ongoing regimen.

After viewing the first place, the alternative turned out to have superior pricing on the individual components of that lightening set, making the whole purchase more economical.

Supposedly this beats everything else out there. A little container is arriving soon for me to evaluate.

Awaiting your review. LOL Where did you get the GTB?

IronKettle44archiveJul 2
↳ replying to @RustPebble43

Chose the top part of my buttock after mixing in the BAC beforehand. The sharp feeling came out noticeably weaker than before.

LevelTimber64archiveJul 2

No one wants castration. Thanks!

NorthCompass62archiveJul 3

Sorry if this seems obvious but I'm unclear on the meaning of GTB.

I did eight weeks total dosing six hundred milligrams. The first pair of weeks I went twice each week then switched to three times weekly after. Ahead of the start I took a thousand milligrams of vitamin c daily in the mornings along with five hundred more every afternoon for antioxidant support and toxin clearance. Liver values went from eighty three in December down to twenty four by March. Shots went into the outer thigh muscle using a twenty seven gauge needle. The powder took extra space compared with other items so one point seven five milliliters of mixing solution allowed two separate one milliliter doses. The diagram spot sat a bit low so better placement puts one palm on the hip bone and the other above the knee then targets the middle area on the outer side. I intend to run another round soon. A brief pinch happened on entry but faded fast. Sitting with the foot planted flat felt most comfortable. Lots of online clips demonstrate the technique.

Wow, those numbers for my liver tests seemed decent enough. 😅 😅 What a huge improvement on that one marker! 😆 Great job there, and thanks for posting about it.

NorthWillow72archiveJul 3
↳ replying to @IronKettle44

Felt really satisfied with how things turned out. A couple weeks back I completed another three-month check and noticed further gains even though I skipped the full round this time.

QuietAlder25archiveJul 3

Every day I use a hundred milligrams. Most times I inject it under the skin around my belly. To cut down on the burning sensation I mix it using no less than half a milliliter for each hundred milligrams and push the needle in as far as possible beneath the skin. There's hardly ever any discomfort for me. Before using it I clean the syringe with an alcohol wipe to get rid of leftover stuff. When the product comes with a liquid form of vitamin C I use that for mixing, otherwise I swallow some chewable vitamin C tablets.

SteadyAnchor73archiveJul 3
↳ replying to @NorthCompass62

I described a particular type of water that stops bacteria and is made to help glutathione remain stable and work better after being mixed into solution. Then came the mention of a strong combination involving taurine a certain coenzyme and nac which serves to keep the glutathione steady and useful once prepared.

ClearBeacon24archiveJul 3
↳ replying to @SteadyAnchor73

Those come as single vials and cost quite a bit.

SteadyAnchor73archiveJul 3
↳ replying to @ClearBeacon24

Yes they do. Still want to give it a shot though. If it turns out really smooth and simple I might grab a few more.

ClearBeacon24archiveJul 3
↳ replying to @SteadyAnchor73

You can get a kit of ten along with a kit of vit c as well.

PlainTimber26archiveJul 4

I keep seeing skin brightening listed as a benefit. I am already on MT-1 and like the golden tan I have now. Do brightening and whitening mean the same thing here? I do not want to run two things that fight each other. Might just wait until fall.

ClearBeacon24archiveJul 4
↳ replying to @PlainTimber26

I run both mt and gluth and have not lost any tan. Been over a year and I am still tanned.

PlainMeadow36archiveJul 4

Korean pink version. My friend uses it to clear dark spots and it worked really well, even took away some freckles she did not expect to lose. True story.

SteadyAnchor73archiveJul 4
↳ replying to @ClearBeacon24

GTB is fairly cheap but I still need a pointer to where a kit of GTB supreme can be found for that price.

LevelAlder29archiveJul 4
↳ replying to @NorthWillow72

Thank you, this is very helpful, especially since I was about to cheap out and use the 25g 1.5 inch needles I already have for reconstitution. Nope. Just ordered some Korean gluta. Great labs by the way, glad it is helping. I have multiple piercings so subq is no problem and I do dry needling on myself, but IM makes me nervous. At least I have a few weeks to get ready while the product ships and gets tested.

SteadyAnchor73archiveJul 4

Yeah this is the place I get GTT from. I do not get it. There is nothing even close to GTB Supreme listed. Explain it like I am five.

ClearMeadow73archiveJul 4
↳ replying to @LevelAlder29

I came across a pretty solid guide on ventrogluteal injections and that's exactly the method I follow for mine. Anyone who already knows dry needling won't have any trouble with it 😂

LevelAlder29archiveJul 4

Excellent stuff! Since she's going with the thicker option, my thinner ones ought to work fine too. Trying them out earlier today for mixing didn't seem as scary as I worried, especially with thoughts of jabbing myself. Really grateful you shared this, marked it down!
