User experiences with AOD-9604 for fat loss and other effects

Summary

Does AOD-9604 actually work based on real user results?

Most people who tried AOD-9604 reported no noticeable changes in body composition or fat loss. A few described subtle improvements like a flatter stomach when used fasted, but results were inconsistent and often attributed to other factors. The original human study showed no meaningful effects at the tested doses, and several users recommended switching to alternatives like tesamorelin or GLP-1s instead.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

A minority reported subtle positive changes in appearance while the large majority saw nothing at all

Whether subcutaneous dosing or specific timing would produce different outcomes than the oral study data

Nothing here is advice.

Recently learned about AOD-9604 and thinking about trying it during a break from other peptides. Wanted some opinions first on whether it's worth using.

I don't believe it produces any effects and haven't heard of anyone getting real benefits except the sellers themselves.

NorthKettle51archiveOct 14, 2025

Everything I've come across says it's ineffective and not worth the effort.

AmberMeadow54archiveOct 14, 2025

There's a study with daily doses from 0.25 to 1 mg that basically showed no results at all.

Adding more reasons against AOD and pointing to other options like GLP compounds or growth hormone peptides instead.

Same experience here after using it for two months with no noticeable changes.

Mentioning some possible positive findings especially for women.

No effects for me or a friend who also tried it. Would suggest other peptides instead that gave much better outcomes.

Thanks, that information just saved me some money.

SlowSignal40archiveApr 26

Wish someone had warned me earlier. Currently running adipotide along with AOD but doses have been low and inconsistent, though laziness is probably the bigger issue. An appetite suppressant version would have been far more useful.

Never saw much benefit for me and it tends to gel up fast.

Apparently we're all using AOD-9604 incorrectly. My ex wants some for osteoporosis because it might help bone density according to certain research on animal models.

Wouldn't straight growth hormone be more effective for that purpose?

Those doses in the study were given orally. As far as I know it hasn't been properly tested via subcutaneous injection, so the data we have is limited.

She's concerned about using growth hormone.

Can't blame her. I've seen faces change noticeably on growth hormone and not in a good way.

Did two cycles last year. Body composition changed only slightly with a flatter stomach but little movement on the scale. Not a miracle compound but planning to run it again alongside another peptide after finishing a longer tesamorelin cycle. Pricey for what it does but could work as an add-on.

Completely agree. Using too much for too long causes issues, so finding the right balance of dose and cycle length matters.

Now that I have some on hand, did you mix it with the special acetic acid solution? Tried this last year and want to reduce the discomfort for her.

No, just regular bacteriostatic water. Mine didn't contain mannitol to prevent gelling.

WarmSparrow33archiveJun 9

Watched a video last night where the presenter said it only works when taken fasted.

BlueKettle12archiveJun 9

I've been using it for five months and it does help with a flatter stomach when taken first thing in the morning fasted, though not much for overall weight loss.

RustLantern48archiveJun 9

Also tried it fasted and noticed no difference at all.

SlowLedger21archiveJun 9

It seems to help with lipedema but won't cause weight loss. Tried it hoping to drop about twelve pounds of belly fat but saw zero change on the scale or in skin appearance.

In roughly eight or nine months we'll see if it actually improves bone density.
