Tirz + Cag stack

Summary

How well does adding Cagri to Tirz work for breaking stalls after big weight loss, and how fast can you safely increase the dose?

People stacking low-dose Cagri on top of 12.5 mg Tirz every 6 days report very mixed outcomes: a few see appetite control and extra pounds coming off, while most notice little movement after several weeks. Titration usually begins at 0.25 mg and moves up slowly when sides are absent, though nausea and fatigue can appear above 0.5 mg. Adding Reta as well produces diminishing returns once BMI reaches the low 30s. Several users plan to raise Tirz further or consider other options if the current stack stays flat.

Been on GLP meds for two years and dropped 75 lb, but the last 30–35 lb are barely moving—maybe half a pound a month. I’ve had long stalls and even months with zero change, though I’ve added muscle. I’m fine with my current shape and just want to finish the last bit. BMI is 30 right now. I have three months of Tirz left and started Cagri at 250 mcg two days ago hoping it would get things going again. No sides from Tirz so far, so I’m wondering how fast I can raise the Cagri. My Tirz is 12.5 mg every six days. Anyone else running this combo? I also have Reta on hand if needed but want to finish the Tirz first.

I’d be cautious with Cagri, especially when it’s added to a solid dose of Tirz or Reta the way most people here seem to do it. At 0.5 mg I get mild nausea and at 0.75 mg it becomes unpleasant though still manageable, so my limit on top of Tirz 15 mg or Reta 5 mg is 0.5 mg weekly. Some here go up to 1–2 mg, but the majority stay around 0.5 mg. Side effects differ a lot between people, yet the pattern with Cagri on the forum is fairly consistent—most keep doses low when using it as an add-on. If 0.25 mg produces nothing and you’ve waited 48–72 hours for it to absorb, another 0.25 mg is probably low risk. That small bump is safer than jumping straight to 0.5 mg a week later. You can’t really judge from your Tirz tolerance because the receptors are different. Nausea and fatigue are the usual complaints, but they often stay mild at the lower doses people actually use.

Thanks, that’s helpful. I took another 0.25 mg today and will see how it goes. It’s also Tirz day but I’m shifting it to tomorrow and switching back to every seven days now that Cagri is in the mix.

My current schedule is Tirz 12 mg, Reta 4 mg, and Cagri 2 mg, all every six days and spaced two days apart. I didn’t add Cagri mainly for weight loss at first—I wanted it to quiet the constant food thoughts. I was losing only two or three pounds a month then. Later I added Reta once the Tirz-plus-Cagri combo slowed. Started Cagri at 0.5 mg every six days and stayed there two months with no sides but also no real change in the scale. Went to 1 mg, then three weeks later to 2 mg. In the three months since starting Cagri I’ve lost another 12 lb, but the last week has been flat even at the higher doses. On the bigger amounts I get some sides that seem mostly from the Tirz—tinnitus and allodynia—plus maybe a little mild stomach upset that could be the Cagri.

12 lb in three months sounds great to me. I lose slowly, so that would feel like a big win. How much total have you dropped so far?

Just starting week three on Cagri. Last week I did 0.5 mg and I’m thinking about 1 mg this week. Scale is barely moving—only half a pound down in the last three weeks.

Second week of Cagri on top of 12.5 mg Tirz. Appetite dropped after the first 0.25 mg dose, but the scale hasn’t really moved yet. I added it hoping to break a stall, though it’s probably still too early to judge. No bad reactions from the Cagri so far.

I lost 41 lb on Tirz by itself, then another 14 lb after adding Reta, for a total of 55 lb over eight months. Started at BMI 40 and now at 30, aiming for the high 20s. The first stretch on Tirz came off easily, helped by being in a place with no alcohol and limited distractions so sticking to 1,000 calories and daily gym time was simple. Since then it’s been much harder. I don’t like calling it a plateau—it’s probably just the new normal on 12 mg Tirz every six days. To lose more I’d need to go higher, but sides have stopped me, which is why I tried adding Reta and Cagri. Surprisingly, both together haven’t done a lot. I guess that’s the usual slowing curve once there’s less left to lose.

The reports are all over the place—plenty of people say Cagri smashed their stall, but just as many say it did almost nothing. Could be individual response or differences between sources. I’ve lost nearly 50 lb in six months and still have a ways to go, but I’m currently stalled. If Cagri doesn’t help I’ll probably push Tirz higher than 12.5 mg every six days; I’m not against going past 15 mg if that’s what it takes.

I still have at least 30 lb left and they’re really stubborn. Same dose as you—12.5 mg every six days—and next week I’m planning to try 15 mg to see if anything changes. I did 15 mg last year and then hit a four-month stall. So far Cagri hasn’t impressed me much.

Have you tried tightening up your macros to check your actual intake? My maintenance calories feel pretty low now, so if I want to keep losing I probably need to cut more deliberately. I used to track everything but can only stay consistent for about a week at a time lately. Hunger has definitely returned, so I’m hoping the Cagri starts helping soon. I’ll probably bump Tirz to 15 mg next week as well.

I can’t weigh portions here because everything is cooked by chefs, so I just log what I order. I’ve been using LoseIt for 13 years but it’s all estimates. Funny you mention going to 15 mg Tirz every six days—I did that this morning. I was on 12 mg for the past month after being on 10 mg for four months before that. Thinking about raising Reta and Cagri too, maybe to 6/3 or 8/4. Twelve hours after the higher Tirz dose I can already feel it, sides and all.

If a solid trial of Cagri doesn’t get you moving, Elora might be worth looking at. No one really knows yet how it performs if Cagri didn’t do much, but overall it seems stronger for weight loss. I’m on a similar stack—Tirz 15 mg, Reta 6 mg, Cagri 0.5 mg—and can’t raise any of them further, but it’s still helping control hunger enough to hold a 55 % loss. I added Reta instead of swapping because I liked the lack of sides on 15 mg Tirz and didn’t want to risk losing that, even though I was still a bit hungry. Sounds like you might be nearing the current limits of these meds for your body. If you have no Tirz sides, higher doses are still an option, or adding/swapping to Reta. Staying at BMI 30 is still way better long-term than BMI 40, even if it’s disappointing not to reach a normal range.
